Established in 2020, and inspired by Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural heritage, its artists and makers, the Diriyah Biennale Foundation strives to nurture creative expression and instill appreciation for the transformative power of the arts. As a central part of its mission, the

Foundation stages two world-class biennales in contemporary and Islamic arts, complemented by year-round educational programs focused on engaging public audiences. The Foundation's Contemporary Art Biennale, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, was hosted in the JAX District of Diriyah. This was followed by the inaugural edition of the Islamic Arts Biennale, the first-of-its-kind in the world, hosted at the Aga Khan Award-winning Western Hajj Terminal in Jeddah. The second edition of the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale will be held at JAX District in Diriyah, Riyadh on February 20, 2024.

يسرنا أن نقدم لكم فريق القيمين الفنيين لبينالي الدرعية للفن المعاصر 2026.

سيقود هذه الدورة المديران الفنيان نورا رازيان وصبيح أحمد، إلى جانب فريق دولي من القيمين الفنيين، يضم كلاً من: معن أبو طالب، مي مكي، كابيلو مالاتسي، ولانتيان شي، إلى جانب المهندس المعماري المشارك ومصمم المعرض سامي زرقة.

رؤى متنوعة وتوجهات فنية فريدة، اجتمعت لرسم ملامح الدورة القادمة من البينالي.
سينطلق البينالي في حيّ جاكس بمنطقة الدرعية في الرياض بتاريخ 30 يناير 2026.

We are pleased to introduce the curatorial team for the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale 2026.

Leading the Biennale are Artistic Directors Nora Razian and Sabih Ahmed, joined by a team of international curators: Maan Abu Taleb, May Makki, Kabelo Malatsie, and Lantian Xie, alongside Sammy Zarka as Associate Architect and Exhibition Designer.

Together, they will shape the upcoming edition—bringing diverse perspectives and curatorial voices into dialogue.
The Biennale will return to the JAX District of Diriyah, Riyadh on January 30, 2026.
