In Gaza, childhood is defined by survival. Barefoot, thirsty, and carrying water in medical gloves, these children are living through the impossible. Do not let this become “normal.” Do not look away.

ليس مجرد ماء.. إنه قطرات من الحياة انتُزعت من بين أنقاض المـ ـوت.
أن ترى طفلاً حافياً، يحمل في قفاز طبي حفنة من الماء، يعني أن العالم قد سقط أخيراً من اختبار الإنسانية.
هؤلاء الأطفال لا يطلبون منا الشفقة، بل يطالبوننا بألا نعتاد المشهد. لا تعتادوا على رؤية أطفالنا وهم يحاربون للبقاء بقطرات ماء وسط الدمار.

Palestinian prisoner Imad Rajih Mustafa Sarhan, 48, from Haifa, died Sunday morning in Gilboa Prison, according to the Israeli Prison Service.

Sarhan, a resident of the Wadi Nisnas neighborhood in Haifa, was arrested on January 20, 2002, and subjected to more than two months of interrogation before an Israeli court sentenced him to life imprisonment plus ten years. He spent more than 24 years in Israeli prisons.

In the displacement camps, the “Takiya” (community kitchen) has become the last resort for families who can find nothing to feed their children except broth or a few grains of rice.

Each child in this queue carries behind them an entire family waiting for their return—not with a complete meal, but with just enough to stay alive.

أيدٍ صغيرة تحمل أوانيَ تفوق حجمها، تحكي قصة أمة تجوع أمام مرأى العالم. في مخيمات النزوح، باتت “التكية” هي الملاذ الأخير لعائلات لا تجد ما تطعمه لأطفالها سوى المرق أو بضع حبات من الأرز.
كل طفل في هذا الطابور يحمل خلفه عائلة كاملة تنتظر عودته، ليس بوجبة مكتملة العناصر، بل بما يكفي فقط ليظلوا على قيد الحياة.
