‏التقى الدكتور عبدالعزيز بن صقر، مؤسس ورئيس مركز الخليج للأبحاث، في مقر المركز بمدينة الرياض، بسعادة السفيرة لويزا فراغوسو، سفيرة جمهورية البرتغال لدى المملكة العربية السعودية‬⁩، وذلك يوم 18 مايو 2026.

‏وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث عدد من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، إلى جانب تبادل وجهات النظر حول عدد من التطورات الإقليمية والدولية، وآفاق تعزيز التعاون والحوار بين الجانبين.

On May 18, 2026, Dr. Abdulaziz Sager, Founder & Chairman of the Gulf Research Center (GRC), met with H.E. Luísa Fragoso, Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia , at the GRC office in Riyadh.

The meeting included an exchange of views on regional and international developments, as well as discussions on areas of mutual interest and prospects for enhanced dialogue and cooperation between the two sides.

⁨ التقى الدكتور عبدالعزيز بن صقر، مؤسس ورئيس مركز الخليج للأبحاث، في مقر المركز بمدينة الرياض، بالسيد محمد شيخ علي، رئيس بعثة اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر في المملكة العربية السعودية، والأستاذة مها عقيل، مستشارة الشؤون الإنسانية لدى اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر في المملكة العربية السعودية‬⁩، وذلك يوم 18 مايو 2026.

‏وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث عدد من التطورات الإقليمية، وتبادل وجهات النظر حيال القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك، لاسيما فيما يتعلق بالشؤون الإنسانية وأوجه التعاون ذات الصلة.

On May 18, 2026, Dr. Abdulaziz Sager, Founder & Chairman of the Gulf Research Center (GRC), met with Mohamed Sheikh-Ali, Head of Mission in Saudi Arabia, and Maha Akeel, Humanitarian Affairs Adviser at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Saudi Arabia, at the GRC office in Riyadh. The meeting included an exchange of views on regional developments and issues of mutual interest related to humanitarian affairs and regional cooperation.⁩

‏وجرى خلال اللقاء مناقشة المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، والتطورات الإقليمية الأخيرة في المنطقة.

⁨ ‏التقى الدكتور عبدالعزيز بن صقر، مؤسس ورئيس مركز الخليج للأبحاث، السيد أصلا أزييف، المستشار الأول في سفارة روسيا الاتحادية لدى المملكة، والسيد ديمتري بولياكوف،الملحق في السفارة، وذلك في مقر المركز بالرياض بتاريخ 17 مايو 2026م.
‏وذلك للتنسيق حول المؤتمر المزمع عقده في الفترة القادمة في مدينة الرياض بمناسبة مرور مائة عام على تأسيس العلاقات بين المملكة العربية السعودية وروسيا الاتحادية.

Dr. Abdulaziz Sager, Founder and Chairman of the Gulf Research Center (GRC), met with Mr. Aslan Aziev, Senior Counsellor at the Embassy of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Mr. Dmitry Polyakov, Attache at the Embassy , at the GRC’s office in Riyadh on May 17, 2026. The meeting focused on coordination regarding the upcoming conference in Riyadh planned to mark the centenary of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation.⁩

⁨ ‏نظم مركز الخليج للأبحاث مائدة مستديرة بعنوان "العلاقات بين دول الخليج وأمريكا اللاتينية: الحوار السياسي والتعاون الاقتصادي" وذلك يوم الأحد بتاريخ 17 مايو 2026م في مقر المركز بمدينة الرياض.

‏ألقى الكلمات الافتتاحية الدكتور عبد العزيز بن صقر، مؤسس وئيس مركز الخليج للأبحاث، تلاها كلمة من سعادة الدكتور عبد العزيز العويشق، الأمين العام المساعد للشؤون السياسية والمفاوضات في مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية‬⁩.

‏كما شهد الاجتماع مشاركة سفراء كل من الدول:
‏جمهورية الأرجنتين، وجمهورية البرازيل الاتحادية، وجمهورية تشيلي، وجمهورية كولومبيا، وجمهورية كوبا، وجمهورية الدومينيكان، وجمهورية السلفادور، والولايات المتحدة المكسيكية⁩، وجمهورية بنما، وجمهورية بيرو، وجمهورية فنزويلا البوليفارية.

‏ركزت النقاشات على واقع العلاقات السياسية والاقتصادية بين الجانبين، وسبل تعزيز التنسيق متعدد الأطراف والحوار بين الأقاليم، إضافة إلى استكشاف آفاق التعاون في مجالات التجارة والاستثمار والأمن الغذائي والطاقة والربط اللوجستي.

‏كما تناولت النقاشات تطورات اتفاقية التجارة الحرة بين دول مجلس التعاون ودول الميركوسور، والفرص والتحديات المرتبطة بتعميق التعاون الاقتصادي بين الجانبين، في ظل التحولات الجيوسياسية والاقتصادية الراهنة.⁩

On May 17, 2026, the Gulf Research Center (GRC) organized a roundtable meeting titled “Developing GCC-Latin America Relations: Political Dialogue and Economic Cooperation” at its office in Riyadh. The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Abdulaziz Sager, Founder and Chairman of the Gulf Research Center, followed by remarks from H.E. Dr. Abdulaziz Aluwaisheg, Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Negotiations at the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

The meeting brought together ambassadors and representatives from:
the Argentine Republic, the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Republic of Chile, the Republic of Colombia, the Republic of Cuba, the Dominican Republic, the Republic of El Salvador, the United Mexican States, the Republic of Panama, the Republic of Peru the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The discussions focused on the current state of political and economic relations between the two sides, and on ways to strengthen multilateral coordination and interregional dialogue, in addition to exploring prospects for cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, food security, energy, and logistics connectivity. The discussions also addressed developments related to the GCC-MERCOSUR Free Trade Agreement, as well as the opportunities and challenges associated with deepening economic cooperation between the two sides in light of ongoing geopolitical and economic transformations.
