Twestival is a single day, global movement which uses the power of social media for social good to organize offline events that mobilize communities in support of local causes. Twestival Local events are organized 100% by volunteers in cities around the world and 100% of the money raised from these events go directly to support local charities. Twestival was born out of the idea that if cities wer

e able to collaborate on an international scale, but working from a local level, it could have a spectacular impact. Since 2009 over 200 cities have participated in Twestival raising close to $1.2 million for causes like education and clean water.

استمد التويستفيل فكرته من الرغبة في التعاون والاشتراك مع مدن من جميع انحاء العالم ولكن من مستوى محلي لما له من تأثير فعال ، منذ عام ٢٠٠٩ اشتركت اكثر من ٢٠٠ مدينة وجمعت مايقارب ١.٢ مليون دولار لقضايا مثل التعليم و توزيع الماء النقي للاماكن الفقيرة
