Today we hosted 39 ladies from around Musanze in Rwanda, for a seminar on forgiveness and healing. The seminar was part of our Women Empowerment program’s (WEP) effort to enhance holistic transformation of women. Apart from such seminars that aim at spiritual transformation, our WEP program also purposes to create intellectual, worldview, economic and community transformation through the various trainings and micro loans offered to women in Rwanda, Kenya and DRC.

Empowering church leaders for holistic transformation in their communities. Today and tomorrow we host about 80 pastors at CCI Ruiru for a training on Church Management and Administration. The training is focusing on fundamentals of church administration and management, church growth, personal development of a pastor and pastoral leadership framework.

We wrapped up our trainings for the year with a seminar for retired ministers in Musanze, Rwanda. The seminar speakers highlighted the importance of the strength of youth and the wisdom of the elderly working together for the development of the community. The ministers were also enlightened on self-care for the elderly and the value of the retirement years. Being retired, they were able to reflect on fond memories, past challenges, and their shared desire to continue impacting young men of God by encouraging them to serve faithfully.

It's Day 2 of our Pastoral Leadership Institute (PLI) program in Kenya (Ruiru). Over 60 local pastors are in attendance, taking courses in Theology, Counseling, Bible Overview, Pastoral Leadership, and Character Development. This is the first of three years that we'll be offering this program in Kenya. We have 7 ministers from Living Word Fellowship Church facilitating the Conference.

Song, dance, laughter and learning as we train about 50 pastors around Ngong on Preaching Biblical sermons. Day 2 of training was full of interaction as the pastors discussed some mishaps in preaching that affect faithful preaching.

We are concluding our Marriage Enrichment Conference that took place this week at our Conference Centre facility in Musanze, Rwanda, in Partnership with Creek Bible Church. We thank God for a fruitful time of encouraging godly and healthy marriages and families among the clergy!

We wound up our week-long Counseling Skills training for clergy in Musanze on Friday, 18th July. The attendees were quite excited to share their takeaways from the conference and how they plan to apply the knowledge taught.

Pastor Musabimana said, "The training on counseling helped me to know how to deal with stress in my own life, in the life of my church members, and in the community at large. I also realised that in the counseling process, I should allow the counselee to make his/her own decision for the issue at hand."

This week, pastors from Musanze and its environs are gathered at our Conference Centre facility in Rwanda for a five-day training on Counseling skills. The key trainer is one of our material production project authors, Dr. Jecinta Muigai from Kenya. The training will expose and equip the pastors to the basics of counseling, various theories of counseling, the essence and significance of biblical counseling, the skills and ethics of counseling, and how to start a counseling program in the local church. Please pray with us for a fruitful and impactful time!
