HAND IN HAND FOR DEVELOPMENT Organization has been founded in 2013 under the name of GOD IN US AFRICA Organization. Due to its activities, it has been proposed to change its name for not being confused to a religious organization. In the beginning of 2016 the general assembly of GOD IN US AFRICA Organization decided to change the name and since then it became HAND IN HAND FOR DEVELOPMENT Organizat
ion with HIHD as abbreviation. Now HIHD operates in 3 Districts in Western province of Rwanda and it intends work country-wide. The organization's aims are:
-Promoting, in favour of children and youth positive values: honour, reconciliation, forgiveness, peace, hope, tolerance, mutual aid and a sense of family
-Train the beneficiaries on small business that provide incomes.
- Educating our beneficiaries to increase their knowledge on income generating activities.
- Fighting against illness caused by water born by distributing bio sand water filters and training on hygiene and sanitation.
-Construction of ferrocement tank rainwater system catchment and wells
-Fight against endemic illness

The headquarter of HAND IN HAND FOR DEVELOPMENT is established in KIVUMU cell, GISENYI sector, RUBAVU district, WESTERN Province.
