Today, we commemorate the 31st anniversary of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and mark the beginning of the official commemoration week.

At STEMi Makers of Africa, we remember the lives lost, honor the resilience of survivors, and renew our commitment to unity and peace.

🇺🇳 The 69th United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) plenary sessions and side events 🎤 captured so much learning 📚 on what has worked for nations around the world on gender equity and where the gaps still exist.

We were honored to be organizers of side events 🎙️and participants since the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the most visionary agenda for women’s rights and empowerment globally.

This milestone is a powerful reminder of the progress we’ve made and the urgent work that remains. From empowering women and girls to succeed in 🧑‍🔬STEM to closing the gender pay gap, ensuring inclusive leadership 👩‍🎓, and safeguarding women’s rights in all their diversity; the Beijing framework review is a call to action for bold, transformative commitments.

Sharing and connecting with changemakers from around the world renews our hope 🤞 and resolve to continue advocating for a world where every woman and girl can thrive in Scotland, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Innovation.
