Dufatanye means "Join Together"

Our mission is to combat HIV/AIDs, malnutrition, and poverty by focusing on vulnerable populations in areas with high malnutrition and extreme poverty by creating Green Villages of Hope.

On 6 May 2026, GLFx Nyanza, in collaboration with the Global Landscapes Forum, successfully held the GLFx Nyanza Watch Party 2026 in Nyanza District, Rwanda under the theme “GLF Africa 2026: Stewarding Our Rangelands.”

The event brought together young leaders, environmental stewards, and community members to discuss landscape restoration, sustainable land use, and climate resilience.

Key activities included tree and grass planting along riverbanks, networking and knowledge sharing, and discussions on agroforestry, sustainable land management, and connecting local action to global climate conversations.

A major highlight was a dialogue on “Sustainable Land Management in Rwanda: Connecting Rangelands, Agroforestry, and Smallholder Farming.”

The watch party served as a platform to inspire collective action toward environmental protection and sustainable livelihoods. Last week, we were honoured to host an international field team from our dear partner .foundation. We not only welcomed a delegation from Switzerland and Spain, but were especially glad to learn from the project implementors of their work in Bolivia and Peru.

Today, GLFx Nyanza successfully hosted the Watch Party 2026 in collaboration with the Global Landscapes Forum as part of GLF Africa 2026: Stewarding Our Rangelands.
The gathering brought together passionate voices, young leaders, environmental stewards, and community members committed to restoring landscapes, strengthening livelihoods, and shaping a sustainable future.

A key highlight was the discussion on:

Clean Water Changes Lives – Be Part of the Solution!

Dufatanye Organization is launching a new project under Village of Hope to bring safe and reliable water to communities in Nyanza and Nyaruguru Districts.

We are inviting qualified contractors to apply for:
✔️ Borehole drilling
✔️ Concrete slab construction
✔️ Hand pump installation

This project, in partnership with Suyana Foundation, will help reduce waterborne diseases and improve daily life for vulnerable families. 🌱

From safe spaces to strong beginnings 🌱

Across Rwanda, Early Childhood Development (ECD) centers are giving children the foundation they deserve—from birth to age 6. These centers provide a safe, caring environment while parents work, ensuring every child has the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.

Through caregiver trainings, nutrition programs, kitchen gardens, and improved sanitation, we’re supporting every step of a child’s development. From classrooms to communities, this work is built on strong partnerships and local leadership—creating impact that lasts.
