Normalerweise spielen die am Training des Ruli Football Training Centers teilnehmenden Mädchen und Jungen im Rahmen der Meisterschaften des Sektors Ruli mit ihren Schulen gegeneinander. Deshalb bestand der Wunsch, mit einer Auswahl unseres Fußballprojekts RFTC doch auch gegen Mannschaften anderer Sektoren anzutreten. Bisher scheiterte das an den Transportkosten. Jetzt stellte die örtliche Kaffeefabrik den älteren Mädchen und Jungen einen Bus für eine Fahrt zu Spielen gegen die schon länger bestehende Fußballakademie im mehr als eine Stunde entfernten Rushashi zur Verfügung. Ein großes Gemeinschaftserlebnis für die Gruppe aus Ruli, das zu noch mehr Training motiviert. Ebenso wie die Ergebnisse: Die Mädchen verloren 0:1, die Jungen spielten 1:1 Unentschieden. Alle fiebern jetzt schon den Rückspielen in Ruli entgegen.
Normally, the girls and boys who participate in training at the Ruli Football Training Center (RFTC) play against each other with their schools as part of the Ruli sector championships. That’s why there was a desire to have a select team from our RFTC soccer project compete against teams from other sectors as well. Until now, this had been prevented by transportation costs. Now, the local coffee factory has provided the older girls and boys with a bus for a trip to play matches against the long-established soccer academy in Rushashi, more than an hour away. It was a great shared experience for the group from Ruli, one that motivates them to train even harder. So do the results: the girls lost 0–1, and the boys played to a 1–1 draw. Everyone is already eagerly anticipating the return matches in Ruli.
