The organization seeks to work with and improve the livelihoods of young people, especially children, who make up the largest percentage of the Rwandan population. Imagine We Rwanda believes that empowering children and youth is pivotal to achieving sustainable human development which leads to the economic growth of society in the long run. It is with the above conviction that the organization, th

rough participatory approaches, engages children and the youth at large in capacity-building and socio-economic development activities. The organization focuses on child and youth literacy development, as well as addressing challenges of children with disabilities in order to foster inclusive development and better cohesion among Rwandans.

Together, we created The ABCs of Rwanda and today, we’re so proud to share that it’s now available in French as Les ABC du Rwanda! 🇫🇷📚

The journey continues at the Imagine We Hub! ✨

Today, we’re excited to host Chief Nyamweya, a renowned and award-winning animator, illustrator, and author, all the way from Kenya! 🌍 This is the first time we’ve brought a trainer from the region to Kigali, and the energy in the room is incredible.

As part of the Rwanda, Une Réimagination project, this second workshop is all about Finding our Unique Style and Signature, creativity, collaboration, and bringing bold ideas to life. From cutting paper to splashes of color, the room is buzzing with inspiration!

L’aventure continue au Imagine We Hub ! ✨

Aujourd’hui, nous avons l’honneur d’accueillir Chief Nyamweya, un animateur, illustrateur et auteur renommé et primé, venu tout droit du Kenya ! 🌍 C’est la première fois que nous invitons un formateur de la région à Kigali, et l’énergie dans la salle est incroyable.

Dans le cadre du projet Rwanda, Une Réimagination, cet atelier, le deuxième de la série, est dédié à Trouver notre style et signature uniques, à la créativité, à la collaboration et à donner vie à des idées audacieuses. Entre découpes de papier et éclats de couleurs, l’inspiration est au rendez-vous !

Un grand merci à l’Institut Français pour avoir rendu cela possible et pour son soutien au développement du storytelling africain.

Hier, nous avons donné le coup d’envoi de Rwanda, Une Réimagination ! Avec le soutien de l’Institut Français, 20 jeunes illustrateurs rwandais ont entamé une formation qui les mènera à devenir des artistes de bandes dessinées de niveau international 🇷🇼✨

Ce projet marie nos traditions rwandaises à une vision tournée vers l’avenir. Pendant plusieurs mois, ces talents travailleront aux côtés d’auteurs et d’artistes de renom venus du Rwanda, du Kenya, de la France et de la Belgique pour perfectionner leurs compétences et élargir leurs perspectives. 🌍📚

Nous adressons un grand merci à l’Institut Français pour avoir rendu ce projet possible et pour soutenir la création d’un espace où les jeunes talents peuvent s’épanouir.

Un merci spécial à Kagaman (Bakatubia Tony) Studios pour avoir assuré avec succès la toute première session de formation. Vos conseils et votre expertise ont posé des bases solides pour nos illustrateurs.
