La Benevolencija Rwanda

La Benevolencija Rwanda Radio La Benevolencija Humanitarian Tools Foundation is an international NGO that works within the areas of conflict management and trauma healing.

La Benevolencija Rwanda, founded in 2003, produces radio and TV programs that aim to promote reconciliation and trauma healing while also empowering individuals to resist hate speech and other incitements to violence. In Rwanda La Benevolencija’s programs feature a focus on the distorting potential of traumatic fears (“survivor trauma”) involved in political decision-making processes that can lead

to disproportionate violence towards its neighbours or its own population. In an effort to effect behavior and attitudinal change in a communal setting, La Benevolencija Rwanda collaborates with a network of grassroots associations and since 2009 we have sponsored educational debates all over Rwanda. A total of 16,197 students, teachers and community members have participated to date.
