Next stop: the Maasai Mara! 🦁🦓🐘

181 kilometers. Nearly four hours. One safari vehicle—and Patty woke up with enough energy to power it all the way there. 😂

The Empower & Shine team is back on the road, trading Lake Naivasha for the wild beauty of the Mara. We’re soaking up every mile of Kenya along the way—some of us a little more enthusiastically than others. 🤣

Here we come, Maasai Mara! 🇰🇪

Yesterday was all about saying asante sana—thank you very much. 🇰🇪❤️

At most resorts, there’s a tip box. Some guests contribute, some may not. But after the incredible care we received at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort, we wanted to make sure our appreciation reached the hands of each and every one of its 205 employees.

Earlier in the day, we met with the resort’s general manager, Jerry. He could not have been more gracious. He is a wonderful leader who clearly loves, respects and honors his staff—and it shows in the way this entire team treats its guests.

We gathered during Friday Field Day with a handful of employees while the rest continued taking care of the resort. Jerry will make sure every staff member receives our gift of appreciation.

We were also treated to a beautiful private celebration dinner, where we danced and sang our hearts out! Thank you for going above and beyond and making us feel so incredibly special.

We’re also excited that Jerry expressed interest in a future partnership with Empower and Shine. We cannot wait to see where that may lead!

To the entire staff of Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort: thank you for welcoming us and treating us with so much warmth, kindness and love.

The Empower & Shine A-Team is in full effect in Kenya! 🇰🇪

Yesterday’s team building included a boat ride to Crescent Island and a walking safari surrounded by zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, and more. Not a bad day at the office! 🦓🦒

Today, we’re spending the afternoon lighting up the wonderful employees at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort. They’ve taken such incredible care of us—and today, we’re giving them some serious love right back. ❤️

Cue the A-Team theme song… we love it when a plan comes together! 🎶

You never know who you’re going to meet or where one conversation may lead. ❤️

We had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful Kenyan creator with nearly 500,000 followers and sharing the story of Empower & Shine. He was immediately excited about our mission and ready to follow along and support what we’re doing.

He even taught Patty how to make the perfect heart with her hands. She may need a little more practice. 😂

New friends, new connections and more love making its way around the world. 🇰🇪❤️

We have officially arrived at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort—and it is absolutely gorgeous! 🇰🇪

We’re not entirely sure what day it is, what time it is, or how long we’ve been traveling…but who cares? 😂

We made it to Kenya, and the adventure officially begins! 🦒🌍❤️

No Sleep Till Kenya has officially been canceled. There was SO much sleeping. 😂✈️

Ten-hour flight complete! Our crew was absolutely amazing, so we handed out 15 Love Bags—one to every member of the crew. ❤️

They told us they were “blown away.” Their words, not ours.

One flight down, one more to go. Next stop: Kenya! 🇰🇪

We leave for Kenya TONIGHT! 🇰🇪✈️

First up: a 10-hour flight, a 4-hour layover and another 11-hour flight. That should give us plenty of time to perfect our Swahili—or at least become confidently incorrect. 😂

We’re heading to Kenya to celebrate Street Business School graduates, experience the incredible culture, and learn about water conservation, wildlife conservation and beekeeping. And yes, there will be a safari! 🐘🦁🐝

Kenya, here we come! Let the adventure begin!
