Good step! with pleasure, CAE continue to thank for your contribution to help young students in Nyagatare District, Eastern Rwanda to prepare trees to plant in and around their schools. On this Monday 31st Dec, 2018 CAE team and local people residing near school of G.S Rubagabaga planted 2 800 trees in the fields of these local people. Trees planted are 2 000 Grevillea trees, 700 Calliandra trees, 15 avocados, 13 mangoes, 40 pawpaws and 32 Guavas.
In total, we have ended this year of 2018 by planting 10 032 trees.
The goal is to plant 60 000 trees before the end of of the year 2019.

It is very important to teach primary and secondary students how grafting technology can be applied either theory or practical. CAE is implementing a project to help students to plant trees including fruits trees like avocados and mangoes where students are using grafting technology. Rwandan charity Compagnie Agricole Environment (CAE) is aiming to train local students to plant and protect life-giving trees. These trees will provide food, water and income for their families by bearing fruits to improve nutrition, protecting their cattle's water supply from evaporation and boosting their crop harvests by enriching the soil. CAE will establish environmental clubs in schools to teach students about the value of trees. Students will plant: fruit trees near schools, drought-tolerant Grevillea trees in their families' fields, Calliandra trees to feed grazing cattle, fruit trees around farmhouses and trees on farm boundaries. A Tree Guardian scheme will assign planters and caretakers, provide water to help trees take root and motivate students with games.
