A humanitarian organization that works to protect victims of armed conflicts and other situations of violence and provide them with assistance

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a neutral, independent organization ensuring humanitarian protection and assistance for people affected by armed conflict and other violence. Our mandate under the Geneva Conventions is to provide humanitarian assistance to people affected by armed conflict and other violence and promote the laws that protect victims of war. Community guidelines: As part of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is committed to be accessible to the public and to fostering constructive and respectful exchanges across our digital platforms to ensure transparency, accountability and mutual learning as much as possible. The International Committee of the Red Cross Rwanda has donated International Humanitarian Law (IHL) publications to for Peace and Human Rights (iPeace), to strengthen IHL knowledge among students in Rwanda and the region.
The publications will also support the 11th Great Lakes Regional Training on IHL & IHRL in Kenya, 5 – 10 October 2026.
