African Enterprise Rwanda

African Enterprise Rwanda Evangelizing the cities of Africa through Word and deed in partnership with the church.

African Enterprise Rwanda is part of the larger organization; African Enterprise (AE). AE is presently operating in 10 African countries; South Africa, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Ghana, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. In addition to these African countries, AE is presently operating in numerous countries throughout North America, Europe and in other regions.

Although the organization’s teams reside in the named countries, their evangelistic activities and operations cover the entire continent of Africa and beyond. African Enterprise is a Christian, international, in*******al, interdenominational and non-political organization. Its mission is to “evangelize the cities of Africa through word and deed in partnership with the church”. This vision originated in 1962 when Dr. Michael Cassidy was inspired to start an organization to reach the different cities of Africa with the message of the Gospel. AE Rwanda was established in 1984, with the work best being characterized in two phases, the pre-genocide (1984-1994) period and the post-genocide (1994-present) period. AEE Rwanda responded to the post-genocide phase by revamping existing programs and establishing different programs whilst staying in line with AE’s “word and deed” mission. Since the establishment of AEE Rwanda more than 20 years ago, the organization has changed the lives of thousands of Rwandans while spreading the love of Christ through this great nation.

The future of communities is shaped by the opportunities young people receive today.

Education, mentorship, and positive role models give young men the tools to lead, contribute, and strengthen the communities around them.

Across Rwanda, communities are investing in the next generation — because when young people thrive, entire societies grow stronger.

In 1994, during the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, Antoine’s family was killed.

Patrice was among those responsible.
Years later, through a community reconciliation process, they met again — not as enemies, but as two men carrying deep pain and a shared history.

What followed was not simple, and it was not quick. It required truth, accountability, and extraordinary courage. Over time, forgiveness became possible.

Today, their story stands as a powerful reminder that even after unimaginable violence, healing can begin — and reconciliation can rebuild what hatred tried to destroy.

Their journey reflects the strength of communities committed to peace, restoration, and a different future.
