The greatest command of all is to love God ( Matthew 22:36-40). We reveal our love for God by loving our brothers and neighbors locally and around the globe. Throughout the gospels, Jesus not only proclaimed the message of eternal life, but demonstrated his love through healing the sick, feeding the hungry and reaching out to the poor and needy. Jesus plainly told his followers that we demonstrate

our love for God in how we love those around us
(Matthew 25:40). Love gives, goes, prays, watches, helps, lends a hand, finds a way, sacrifices, puts others before self. Love is Christ working in and through us to change the world.

Meet Ollie,
I was running errands recently, and this young man stopped me and greeted me by name. "Do you know me?" he asked. "I am the young man you helped finish my last year of high school when my family was not able. I'm so glad I saw you, because I've never had opportunity to thank you. I have now finished my second year in university. Words cannot convey my gratitude."

Years ago, a young lady came to me in a village church we partnered with. She had one year remaining of high school and a new baby. Could Love Alive help her complete her education. If she could only finish school, she could become a teacher to lower primary in her village.
Ange has now been teaching in her local school for six years. She is pursuing college courses. She is dedicated to her family and her faith. She says proudly, "I teach, because it is what I love!"

Agnes and Jean were among our first students. Both have overcome many obstacles in their lives and since the time they began studying, there have been years repeated, trauma, hunger, violence, deaths of immediate family members, evictions, multiple schools, multiple living environments. There have been times they have wanted to give up. Each of them has only two more years to graduate from high school. When they succeed, they will be the first in their extended families (Agnes is one of 13 children) to graduate from high school.
I'm so proud of how far they have come and pray to God to continue to sustain them on this journey.

Meet Nola. Precious Nola came into our care after she was found abandoned in the woods. She was only a few days old and suffered some injuries before she was brought to a local hospital.
