Cindi's Hope is reaching the nations for Christ through education. Cindi's Hope 501c3 in the US exists to fund the work of the ministry in Africa.

Currently educating over 1300 students in vunerable and underserved communities in Kenya and Rwanda. Cindi's Hope Inc is a 501c3 for the purpose of funding the work in Africa. Cindi's Hope is reaching the nations for Christ through education and has a Cindi's Hope Academy campus in Kenya and will be a total of 7 CHA Primary schools in Rwanda.

The amazing thing about this is that before CHA, our students first language is not English, nor do they have access to electronics! We’re not only educating kids in academics but how to navigate a computer- adaptive assessments that measure individual academic progress comparative to US academic norms. Our Story

Cindi’s Hope Foundation was founded in 2011, when some dedicated ladies, Cindi Mendoza and Mary Owinyo realized the plight of young girls who were being physically and/or sexually abused. Cindi’s Hope Rescue Center was established as a safe haven where the girls could be housed, fed, clothed, educated, and their basic physical and spiritual needs met. As they gained a reputation for effectively and compassionately caring for the girls, more and more children were brought to them by government officials. It is the only one that specifically assists little girls in these situations. Beginning with 14 girls in 2011, the number of the children has increased to nearly 200 in two different campuses in Kenya. Cindi’s Hope educates and ministers to Kenyan, Ethiopian, Rwandan, S. Sudanese, and Somali children who are tremendously vulnerable and many are abused.

Let’s make disciples! In addition to our two locations in Kenya, Cindi’s Hope will now be in Rwanda as we minister to the kids from Rweru, refugees from Mahama refugee camp! Cindi’s Hope Academy has opened our first Primary school to 100+ students in January 2019. The school is in the Eastern Province's Bugesera District of Rwanda just outside Reconciliation Village. Currently the few schools are beyond capacity at a 64:1 teacher, student ratio and due to the 1994 genocide, 47% of the population is under the age of 15. Reconciliation Village is where perpetrators and victims, murderers and survivors of the genocide live together as neighbors; an effort of cooperative harmony with one another. What an image of Christ’s reconciliation and love!! The Rweru school is the first of seven planned Cindi’s Hope Academy schools to be built in Rwanda over the next 5 years.

We have an amazing opportunity to affect a country devastated by genocide to become a culture of peace as we share to love of Jesus and help educate the children! In Psalm 2:8 the Lord says, “Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.” We look forward to partnering with you to provide Christ centered education in Rwanda as well as continue to house, feed, educate and love on our kids at Cindi’s Hope Academy Kenya.
