CA+ Project Officially Launched in Kayonza
5th November 2025 at MIDLAND Hotel, Kayonza District
Today, Kayonza District proudly hosted the official launch of the Conservation Agriculture Plus (CA+) project, a transformative 3-year initiative (2025–2027) aimed at improving food security, climate resilience, and livelihoods for smallholder farmers.
Over 100 distinguished guests attended, including representatives from WFP Eastern Province, MCC Rwanda, PDN, and key district and sector leaders. The project will be implemented by CAPR (Collectif des Artisans de Paix et la Réconciliation), with MCC Rwanda as Technical Partner, through support from WFP.
Mr. Habanabakize Thomas, MCC Coordinator, presented the project overview and shared a video highlighting success stories from CAPR’s previous conservation agriculture work in Kayonza.
On behalf of the Mayor, the District Director of Agriculture officially launched the project, encouraging all stakeholders to collaborate for lasting impact.
Mr. SEBURIKOKO M. Selestine, Executive Director of CAPR, warmly thanked all attendees and reaffirmed CAPR’s commitment to close collaboration with the community and partners throughout the implementation period.
The CAPR cultural troupe energized the event with vibrant performances celebrating local heritage and community spirit.
