In a year of global financing pressure, could development gains hold?

In Rwanda, progress continued, 36,628 jobs created, court backlogs reduced from 62% in 2023 to 49% by 2025, and $20M mobilized for climate action.

And that’s only part of the story.

The 2025 hashtag shows what delivery looked like under constraint, across governance, gender equality, innovation, and more.

When land restoration efforts delivers measurable results, it builds confidence for continued investment.

initiative shows how strong partnerships, government leadership, and community engagement can create the conditions to scale climate solutions that benefit both people and ecosystems.

Sustained support reflects more than financial commitment, it signals trust in locally led approaches, evidence of impact on the ground, and a shared ambition to protect natural resources while strengthening livelihoods and resilience.

This is a reminder that lasting change happens when institutions, communities, and partners align around a common vision.

Women make up over 60% of beneficiaries, and their experiences show how land restoration is changing lives.

Yvonne shares how, before the project, finding cooking fuel was difficult and erosion often washed crops away. Today, trees planted through the initiative help improve soil, retain rainwater, and make farming more stable, bringing real benefits to her family and community.

Her story is a reminder that when women are supported, both people and the environment thrive.
