They’re back… and fast approaching ! Just one month to go until the third edition of Solibad Days🏸

An international fundraising event in aid of the programmes we support around the world, it brings together, from 18 to 26 April 2026, everyone involved in the world of badminton, ready to get involved for a worthy cause. 👊

Last year, we raised over €10,000, which enabled us to take action every day, on the ground and right alongside those who need it most. 🤩

This year, we’re embarking on the adventure once again to renew our support for disadvantaged young people and their families, all across the globe. 🌍

We now have a plot of land on which a home for vulnerable children will soon be built 🏠

A future place of life, education, and protection that symbolizes this beautiful collaboration and the shared commitment of our two organizations.

👧🏿 Every child deserves to grow up knowing their rights, to be safe, heard, protected, and empowered. 🧒🏽

Through the sponsorship-funded Child Protection Project, Plan International Rwanda, in partnership with YOMADO, is supporting 10 child rights clubs in . These clubs are equipping 204 children, 107 girls and 97 boys , with life skills, confidence, and the knowledge to speak out against abuse and harmful practices.

They nurture peer educators, child advocates, and agents of change, starting in classrooms and reaching into communities.

In partnership with Rwanda Volunteer Network, this July 23rd, 2025, has been delighted to welcome a group of student volunteers from Green Hills Academy.
It was a special day marked by a visit to three families benefiting from the Rays of Hope for Orphans and Vulnerable Children project, which operates in Bugesera District, Rilima Sector.

These students enjoyed engaging in various activities with the families they visited, such as: pounding cassava, playing different games, and learning about the origin of cassava before it is consumed.
The children in the project showcased their talents in sports, especially ,where they requested their visiting peers to advocate for them so that their talents can continue to grow.
We truly appreciated this collaboration as it helps children grow with hope for the future, shaped by experience and humanity, as they develop through this spirit of .

On June 27, our partner YOMADO brought together several local leaders in Rilima (Rwanda) to discuss child protection and the impact of sport, particularly badminton, on the well-being of vulnerable children 💛

A wonderful collaborative dynamic was born, with future actions in prospect... and great news: thanks to Solibad, land has been acquired to build a center dedicated to the children of the Rays of Hope project 🌱🏸
