Today, World Vision Rwanda received Rulindo District Mayor in a courtesy visit, which aimed at appreciating the existing collaboration between World Vision Rwanda and Rulindo District and also pointed out other potential areas of partnership including Professional Umuganda.

World Vision Rwanda continues to strengthen access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services to the communities we serve, contributing to their improved health and hygiene.

As a result, in 2025, over 200,000 people gained access to clean water, helping reduce waterborne diseases, easing the burden on families, restoring dignity, and building more resilient communities.

As part of the Staff Care Week activities, staff participated in an Employee Assistance Program session, health screenings on non-communicable diseases conducted by SALTI, and a Trust and Repair dialogue session facilitated by Solid Minds, in partnership with SALTI.

These engagements provided space for reflection, healing, and open dialogue, while also reinforcing the importance of both mental and physical well-being in the workplace.

Today, World Vision Rwanda launched Staff Care Week with the theme: “Trust, Healing, and Repair: Strengthening Our Staff Care Culture.”

Staff care is not confined to a single week; it is a culture we intentionally build year-round. Leaders and managers play a critical role in modeling care, creating safe spaces for listening, and fostering meaningful repair. This is not about solving everything at once but about strengthening the everyday practices that shape how we work together.

For staff, this is an opportunity to connect, share experiences, and engage with one another. True staff care begins with people who take the time to notice, pause, and act with compassion in everyday moments. When we prioritize our well-being, we are better equipped to support our colleagues with patience, clarity, and grace.

Did you know? Last year, through our THRIVE2030 Project 9,272 savings groups, with over 184,500 members, were reached, including 90,000 women.

These groups are helping families build resilience, grow small businesses, and create more secure livelihoods. Empowering people with the tools to save and invest is a step toward community sustainable empowerment.

In 2025, the 'Every Child Belongs' Initiative reached 22,206 children with disabilities; identifying, assessing, referring, and connecting them to specialized services they need to thrive.

This represents thousands of children who are now seen, supported, and given a fairer chance to learn, grow, and participate fully in their communities.

When we remove barriers, we unlock potential. When we act together, every child truly belongs.

Today, child representatives from 12 districts, supported by World Vision Rwanda and Cladho-Rwanda, engaged the State Budget and National Patrimony Standing Committee of the Parliament of Rwanda to share their priorities and experiences.

They raised a range of needs, including, but not limited to:

• Inclusive playgrounds
• Improved nutrition
• Better school infrastructure
• ICT equipment for learning
• Youth Centers
• Stronger measures to
prevent child abuse

Their message was clear: children’s perspectives must be considered in national planning, and their priorities reflected in the upcoming budget cycle.

Addressing children’s needs is key to building an inclusive, responsive, and sustainable country.
