"Sometimes, all a young woman needs is one opportunity to start believing in herself again." Monica

We believe in creating spaces where young women can grow, lead, share their stories, and build skills that create meaningful impact in their communities.

Through the Apprenticeship, Monica Akoi Dau Ahol shares her journey of resilience, purpose, and passion for education, women’s empowerment, leadership, and technology.
From navigating life as a refugee to pursuing meaningful impact through learning and leadership, her story reflects the power of mentorship, opportunity, and believing in young women.

Yesterday, our apprentices discovered the power of storytelling and learnt how to use Substack professionally to share impactful stories, build their digital presence, and communicate with purpose.
Through this session, they are strengthening not only their writing skills but also their confidence to use their voices for advocacy, leadership, and community impact.
We are proud of how far they have come on this digital empowerment journey!

Join Nyinawumuntu Initiative in supporting girls to manage their periods with dignity and confidence by donating sanitary pads and other hygiene kits.

📢📢📢 Pad Donation Campaign.

No girl should miss school because of her period. Yet for many, lack of access to sanitary products means missed classes, discomfort, and stigma.

From April 20 to May 25, we are calling on you to be part of the solution. Your support will provide sanitary pads, reusable pads, and menstrual hygiene kits, helping girls stay in school with dignity and confidence.

This is more than a donation. It’s a chance to protect a girl’s education, health, and future.

💳 Donate today:
• Code: 92536 (Olive)
• Bank of Kigali: 100246856626 (Nyinawumuntu Initiative)

Together, we can break period stigma and empower girls to rise.
