✨ | 1000 Hills Rugby U15✨

Our young stars proudly represented 1000 Hills Rugby at the Tag Rugby Tournament organized by Friends of Rwanda Rugby and MEG Foundation at Kinamba Community Project.

🏉 Boys’ Journey: Hills B fought their way to the final, showing heart and resilience. Though they fell short, reaching the final was a huge achievement for a team of mostly new players. Special shout‑out to Mugisha Jean Claude, crowned MVP of the tournament! 🏅

💪 Girls’ Effort: Our Hills Girls gave their all against tough, older opponents. Their commitment, courage, and teamwork made us proud — every game was a step forward in their rugby journey.

🙏 Big thanks to the organizers for the invitation and to our coaches, senior players, and medical support who ensured the welfare of our young athletes throughout the day.

On World Youth Skills Day (15 July), we celebrate how rugby goes beyond the pitch. Participation in rugby‑based activities opens doors to skills development and, in some cases, employment opportunities across and beyond the sports value chain.

Through our Rugby For Education and Employability program, young people gain access to job‑readiness workshops, technical training, and mentorship.

This work is delivered with the support of Sport for Education and Sustainable Livelihoods in Africa (SESLA), a partnership initiative between Laureus Sport for Good,

the International Olympic Committee - Olympism365 and the Agence Française de
Développement.

Together, we’re helping young people build the skills, values, and confidence to shape their futures.
