Last week, on Tuesday, the Jumelage team attended an important workshop on child protection, presented by Human Help Network e.V.
The leading question of the workshop was: How can a child get their rights respected after they have been violated, without relying on an adult?
Through different group tasks, active discussions and exemplary cases, the team was sensitized to risks in Jumelage projects that could violate child rights and learned how to mitigate them.
The group worked out specific ways in which a childโs rights could be violated and identified the factors that contribute to it. The workshop provided valuable insights into how Jumelage can respect child rights in its work.
On Wednesday, the team activities continued with a team-building task led by Managing Director Layla from Germany. The participants first formed groups, which they got to name, and had to find objects of specific colors and different materials within a limited time.
After every group had collected their objects, the whole team was tasked with creating an artwork that represents the Rhineland-Palatinate-Rwandan partnership.
The two days ended with an exciting scavenger hunt. The team had a lot of fun and definitely came away with a positive overall impression!
