Last week, we had the privilege of joining fellow Woven Foundation partners from across Rwanda for a powerful 3-day Rwanda Leadership Corner session focused on Human Rights Education.
This unique platform brought together Executive Directors and Program Managers to exchange experiences, reflect on challenges, and co-create practical pathways forward. It was more than a training; it was a space for learning, connection, and collective growth.
Throughout the sessions, we explored how to adapt human rights education to our local context and, more importantly, how to integrate it into our ongoing programs in meaningful and sustainable ways.
For us, this comes at a pivotal moment. The insights gained will directly strengthen our IJWI Program, where we work with History secondary school teachers and community leaders to promote human rights awareness through education and actionable locally led initiatives.
We are inspired by how these learnings will deepen our impact, empowering educators to become champions of human rights within their schools and communities.
We are deeply grateful to Woven Foundation for making this initiative possible and for continuously investing in local organizations to drive meaningful, sustainable impact.
