Yesterday, with support from YLACES, Stewards of Eden carried out a hands-on environmental science activity with children.
The learners collected water samples and observed them using microscopes, magnifying glasses, droppers and nets. They were excited to discover tiny living organisms that cannot be seen with the eyes alone.
Through this activity, the children learned how to observe, collect information and share their findings through drawings, photos and discussions. It also showed them that science is not only learned on the blackboard. It can be explored in their own environment.
We are grateful to YLACES for helping us provide practical science education and inspire young environmental stewards.
