It is well-known that your most formidable opponent standing between you and success is yourself — your fears, beliefs, and thoughts. Overcoming such an opponent is the most significant and rewarding victory. You can postpone it indefinitely, but when the moment of "must" arrives, you might find yourself unprepared. At Toastmasters, we practice and face this challenge every time.

Ekaterina Dymova - Toastmasters Division Director

Some people say that a person is defined by his environment. It was thanks to this approach that, having attended meetings in other clubs, I landed at the Toastbusters club. 

Talented speakers, results-oriented leaders, bright professionals - these are the people I met at the Moscow Toastbusters club, fell in love with them and have been going to this wonderful club for 2.5 years in a row.

During this time, exceptional metamorphoses have happened to me, which led to my growth as a speaker, as a leader and as a person. The fear of speaking in front of a large audience evaporated almost immediately, six months later I became an officer of the club, performing the role of the Vice President of Membership, then became the President of the club and now I am the Division Director.

But this is not the main thing. The main thing is that I found here like-minded people who create that very unique environment in which growth, both professional and personal, is simply inevitable.

So, if you want to improve your public speaking skills, develop leadership qualities, maximize your potential, build self-confidence and get the satisfaction of unlimited personal growth, then you have come to Toastbusters!

We could not be more proud of our members!

Please welcome the inspiring story of our VPM Samira Dostdar.

Being naturally reserved, I have always admired charismatic speakers who can effortlessly capture an audience's attention with their engaging and humorous stories. While I enjoyed watching people perform on the TEDx stage on YouTube, I never imagined I would have the opportunity to connect with as amazing speakers in real life. However, the universe responds to our hidden desires and guides us in unexpected ways. In my case, it led me to Toastmasters, where I could meet and learn from inspiring people as talented as those TEDx speakers.

When I joined my local club, I was amazed to discover that Toastmasters extends far beyond Russia, with over 270,000 members in more than 14,000 clubs in 150 countries. I was pleasantly surprised to connect with people from the Netherlands, Great Britain, Italy, Kenya, Barbados, Poland, and many more. Despite our different cultural backgrounds, we all shared the same values, such as a commitment to personal growth, mutual support, and the importance of effective communication, thanks to the Toastmasters community.

Toastmasters is not only a place to develop your public speaking and leadership skills; it is also a community where you can find new friends who genuinely encourage your growth, both personally and professionally. Who knows, maybe you are the next person to embark on this amazing journey of self-discovery and development!

Habits are what we repeatedly and ofter automatically do, and repetition is the mother of learning. Thus a habit is a blessing for the healthy and positive things whereas is at the same time a curse when speaking of detrimental actions or behavior.

How do you promote the better habits in order to live your balanced life?

How is the Chivalry code (politeness, kindness, unselfish behaviour) still relevant in todays’ world?

It appears that nowadays you don’t have to be a knight in shining armor. At the same time you still have to follow certain rules more of a moral value to be considered a decent and reliable person. Let's share our views on this his Wednesday at our regular meeting.

🚨 In view of the forthcoming Fall Season Table Topic Contest 🥇🥈🥉 you'll have an invaluable opportunity to practice to respond to impromptu questions during an extended TT session and learn from the best how to do it eloquently and effortlessly.
The TT session will be hosted by Kristina Sharykina, an experienced Toastmaster and multiple winner of TT contests.

We are happy to note that Toastmasters being an international club welcomes guests from different parts of the world and we will be happy to welcome at the meeting our German, Indian and Canadian friends.

Russia takes the "honourable" 2nd place after South Africa in using personal computers - 4h 17 min per day. IN ADDITION come the 3h 40 min in smartphones, which combined makes almost 8 hours a day...
