Being launched as a unique international youth model event on Millennium Development Goals thematic, first SDG Forum (then called MDG International Youth Forum) took place at Moscow State Institute of International Relations during 25-28 March, 2015. After four days of discussions, they adopted eight great resolutions oriented to concrete measures to achieve each MDG. The atmosphere and the spirit
created during this Forum helped us to create a broad network of students, pupils and young scholars willing to continue their efforts to contribute in a new field - Sustainable Development Goals. After their adoption at UN General Assembly 70th session in September 2015, we immediately started working on a new programme. Our 2015/2016 season opened with meeting with UNAIDS Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Vinay Saldanha, who give us the insight in core issues that face new SDGs. Being encouraged by support at the highest level from our University environment, communities from other cities and governmental and international organizations, we prepared a completely new format of MDG Forum 2016. It took place simultaneously in 5 cities (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Ryazan, Kazan and Yakutsk) hosting 24 committees and therefore beating the record of the number of the committees per a model event in the world. 17 of them were dedicated to the SDGs from Sustainable Development Agenda and 7 more were dedicated to their implementation in Russian regions, at the level of Eurasian Economic Union and in cooperation with the European Union. 2016 Forum gathered 700 delegates from 30 countries during March 16 - 19th. The document with its resolutions is in process of dissemination among international organizations and (we hope so) could be found among their resources soon (especially in UNCTAD Online University).
