Beseech Allah persistently on the Day of 'Arafah!

- It is reported from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

خَيْرُ الدُّعَاءِ دُعَاءُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ وَخَيْرُ مَا قُلْتُ أَنَا وَالنَّبِيُّونَ مِنْ قَبْلِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ.

"The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of 'Arafah, and the best of what I and the prophets before me have said is: 'There is none worthy of worship except Allah, who has no partner. To Him belongs dominion and to Him belongs praise, and He is over all things competent.'"

لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ.

/La ilaha illallah, wahdahu la sharika lah, lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-hamd, wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir/.

📖 at-Tirmidhi 3585. The hadith is good. See "Sahih at-Targhib" 1536.

▪️ Sheikh Salih al-'Usaymi (حَفِظَهُ الله) said: "On the Day of 'Arafah, think about your needs and turn to Allah, being convinced that you will receive an answer. Ask Him persistently, for Allah is Generous and loves to be asked. And whoever asks the Generous will not be refused. O Allah, do not leave us with nothing!"

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatu Llahi wa barakatuh!
Dear brothers and sisters!

Tomorrow, May 26th, is the day of 'Arafah — one of the greatest days in Islam. This is the ninth day of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, the day when pilgrims stand on Mount 'Arafat, and for the rest of the Muslims, it is a day of fasting, repentance, dua, and drawing closer to Allah.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Fasting on the day of 'Arafah serves as an expiation for the sins of the past and the coming year." Muslim
The Prophet ﷺ also said: "There is no day on which Allah frees more servants from the Fire than on the day of 'Arafah."
Muslim

On this great day, it is desirable to:
— fast (for those who are not performing Hajj),
— make a lot of dua,
— remember Allah,
— repent of sins,
— read the Quran,
— do good deeds.

The best dua of the day of 'Arafah:
"La ilaha illa Allahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, wa Huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir."
(There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, who has no partner. To Him belongs dominion and praise, and He is capable of all things.)
May Allah accept our fasts, duas, and good deeds on this great day
