currently there is a population of 300 dogs being cared of in the shelter. unfortunately , the shelter is in terrible condition. this all roots from the original owner who does not supply a majority of the money given from the government to the shelter. the dens are unkept and rusty, food supply is low and there are not enough volunteers nor resources to tend and care for all the dogs personally.
intact majority of the dogs have some disability that can not be taken care of, resorting in even more brutal conditions. the workers hired to tend to the shelter are either homeless or convicts, this is because the pay is really low leaving only a few volunteers from the city to come and properly look after all the dogs. a solution to help better the animal living conditions and help aid a few (hopefully all) of the dogs disabilities is for YOU to donate money, even if its a small amount. if your still wondering how the money will help improve the shelter here are a few reasons;
fix up the dens/cages for more room per dog. sterilize dog to prevent reproduction. (this is because there is a dense over population of dogs in Russia and the minimal requirement for care is extremely low)
hire better workers that are more responsible and qualified than the current ones. being able to buy more food (the dogs are currently feed once or twice a week causing great malnutrition)
a bigger plan to solve all of these problems is a shelter thats being built to transfer the dogs to. the shelter will have much better conditions and living space with more responsible workers. please keep in mind your donation will help improve the lives of these dogs and have a much bigger impact if we can make this new shelter built and ready! if you still have any questions or would like to know your donation will go through please call this number down below or send an email to the email below.
