BUT plot twist: I survived, I stayed sweet, and I still believe humans are wonderful. I’m basically proof that resilience can be tiny, fluffy, and extremely cheerful.

Hi… my name is Koda 🐾
And this is where my story begins.

I don’t remember much about the very beginning… just the cold air, the rustling trees, and my mum staying awake all night to keep us safe.

My brothers, sisters, and I lived on the edge of a big forest. We were always hungry, and Mum… she was so brave. Every day was a fight, but she never gave up on us.

Then one day… everything changed.
Kind humans found us. They spoke gently, wrapped us up, and took us somewhere warm. That’s how we came to Campina shelter — a place where full bellies, soft beds, and kind hands became part of our new story.

Now I’m 8 months old… and ready for my next adventure.
I’m told I’m a “wonderful boy” (I try my best!). I love people — like, really love people — and other dogs too! I walk nicely on a lead, I’m always up for a cuddle, and honestly… I just want a family to call my own.

🌙 A quiet moment… a mother’s memory

Sometimes, when the world is still, I think back to the forest.

My name is Hazel 🤎
And I was a mum before I was anything else.

I remember the cold most of all… the way the wind would move through the trees and how I would curl my body around my babies to keep them warm. They were so small, so fragile. I was always listening, always watching. Every day was about finding food, finding safety… making sure they made it to another morning.
They were my whole world.
There were moments I didn’t know if I was strong enough… but somehow, we kept going.

And then… kindness found us.

Gentle hands, soft voices… and suddenly we weren’t alone anymore. We were taken to Campina shelter, and for the first time in a long while, I could rest. My babies were safe. They had food, warmth, and a future.
Now they are growing — brave, happy, full of life. When I look at them, I don’t see those cold nights anymore… I see everything they’ve become.

And me?

I’m 5 years old now. I’m still gentle, still full of love… but for the first time, I’m starting to wonder what it might feel like to have something just for me. A home. A quiet place. A family who will love me the way I’ve always loved my pups.

Mostly, I just feel thankful.
Thankful we were found.
Thankful we were given a second chance.
And hopeful… that my story isn’t finished yet.

PUPDATE this girl is now sponsored xx

A few years ago during a Spay & Neuter campaign this girl was given to Gicu to be spayed at Mara’s when it was done they didn’t want her back, she stayed with Mara for a while until a home was found for her and she looked to be having her happy ending xx

Fodor Dora told me then this weekend at the shelter they faced the inexcusable, the unbelievable They found this girl tranquilised and chained to the shelter gates. It was clear to see she had wounds on her leg and they suspect bone cancer. If it is she will lose may lose the leg . But we need to start at the beginning and she needs x rays to see how far things are affected

She is having the x ray organised now it will be 600 lei sadly which is £110. Please if you can help this girl to be turned away, abandoned drugged at a time where she needed the comfort and security from her family ,is beyond contempt but we won’t turn a way be won’t leave when the going gets tough

PUPDATE The BEAGLE typre girl is no co sponsored and called LUCIA xx

My apologies for not being able to post about the new dogs yesterday xx

The first one is BEREVED BOY , sadly his owner passed away and despite being chased away he kept coming back Thankfully one of the neighbours called Gicu and he went to get him Dora says he is an amazing dog so calm and modest he has been put in a pen with 2 problamatic girls and has made them much calmer

The second one is the BEAGLE LIKE GIRL, she was abandoned near Fodor Dora's Mom's flat, being such a sweet girl she was a very easy target for the dog catchers , sadsly they both were but not any longer xx

They need sponsors please as adult dogs they need full sponsorship is £25 a month while they are at the shelter , you can co sponsor for less of course
