🇭🇺 A kaland folytatódott!
Miután az Air Senegal kétszer is elhalasztotta Freetownból induló járatát ( egyszer egy nappal, utána pedig két nappal halasztotta el), úgy döntöttünk, hogy más útvonalat keresünk. A flyradar segítségével rájöttünk ugyanis, hogy a Freetownba érkező, onnan tovább repülő járatot az elmúlt egy hónapban folyamatosan törölték, emiatt nem akartunk újból egy bizonytalan járatra jegyet váltani. Úgy határoztunk, hogy elmegyünk az első nagy nemzetközi reptérre, ahonnan van rendszeresen érkező gép, és szerencsére kaptunk egy Air France járatot még aznap Conacryba, Guineaba.

És végül haza értünk Freetown -Conacry - Casablanca -Madrid -Kolozsvár- Marosvásárhely útvonalon.

🇹🇩 Aventura a continuat!
După ce Air Senegal a anulat de două ori zborul nostru din Freetown (o dată a amânat cu o zi, apoi cu două zile), am decis să căutăm o altă rută. Utilizând flyradar, am constatat că acest zbor spre și dinspre Freetown fusese anulat în ultima lună, așa că nu am vrut să facem o nouă rezervare pe un zbor care nu era garantat. Ne-am hotărât să mergem la primul aeroport internațional important cu un zbor regulat și, din fericire, am primit un zbor Air France spre Conacry, Guineea, în acea zi.

Și în cele din urmă am ajuns acasă via Freetown - Conacry - Casablanca -Madrid - Cluj-Napoca - Tîrgu Mureș.
E bine să fii acasă!

🇬🇧 The adventure continued!
After Air Senegal delayed our flight from Freetown twice (once by a day, then by two days), we decided to look for another route. Using flyradar, we found that this flight to and from Freetown had been cancelled for the past month, so we didn't want to rebook on a flight that was not guaranteed. We decided to go to the first big international airport with a regular flight, and luckily we got an Air France flight to Conacry, Guinea that day.

And finally we arrived home via Freetown - Conacry - Casablanca - Madrid - Cluj-Napoca - Tirgu Mures.
It's good to be home!

🇭🇺 Az afrikai kaland nem ért véget: a repülőgép, amely Dakarba onnan pedig Párizsba kellett volna hogy vigyen bennünket, nem érkezett meg. Reméljük, ma este lesz gép 🙏

🇹🇩 Aventura din Africa nu s-a încheiat: avionul care trebuia să ne ducă la Dakar și de acolo la Paris, nu a mai ajuns. Sperăm că vom avea un zbor în această seară 🙏

🇬🇧 The African adventure was not over: the plane that was supposed to take us to Dakar and from there to Paris did not arrive. We hope there will be a flight tonight 🙏

🇭🇺 Kedves Barátaim!
Amint megérkeztünk Freetownba, nagyon jó fogadtatásban volt részünk. Mindkét Rotary klub, a Freetown Sunset meghívott a szerda esti találkozójára, majd csütörtökön délben jelen voltunk a Freetown klub heti találkozóján. Mindkét klub felkért egy rövid ismertetőre és beszámolóra. Nagyon hangulatos beszélgetés volt a kedves rotarys társakkal. Egyik klubban egy francia, a másikban pedig chicagói tag volt a vendég. Természetesen velük is beszélgettünk, kapcsolatot alakítottunk ki. A csütörtöki klubtalálkozó után átadtuk a laptopokat a klubok által kiválasztott iskolák gyerekképviselőinek. Átadtuk az 1000 USD értékű adományt, amelyet a Freetown klub segítségével, a magyar származású Emil Torday Afrika-kutatóról elnevezett Magbondoline-i elemi iskola fejlesztésére fognak költeni.
Este egy tengerparti privát klubban tartottak fogadást a tiszteletünkre, ahol jelen voltak a két klub tagjai, illetve a chicagoi rotarysok. Reméljük, hogy ezek a kapcsolatok tovább fogják erősíteni a Rotary célkitűzéseit.
Hamarosan indulunk a repülőtér fele.

🇹🇩 Dragi prieteni!
De îndată ce am ajuns în Freetown, am fost foarte bine primiți. Ambele cluburi Rotary, Freetown Sunset, ne-au invitat la întâlnirea lor de miercuri seara, iar apoi am participat la întâlnirea săptămânală a clubului din Freetown, joi la prânz. Ambele cluburi ne-au invitat să facem o scurtă prezentare și un raport. A fost o conversație foarte bună cu colegii noștri Rotary. Unul club avea ca musafir un membru francez, iar celălalt un membru din Chicago. Bineînțeles că am vorbit cu ei și am intrat în contact și cu ei. După întâlnirea de joi a clubului, am înmânat laptopurile reprezentanților copiilor din școlile selectate de cluburi. Am înmânat o donație de 1 000 USD, care va fi cheltuită cu ajutorul clubului din Freetown pentru a îmbunătăți școala elementară Magbondoline, care poartă numele cercetătorului Africa, de origine maghiară, Emil Torday.
Seara, a avut loc o recepție în onoarea noastră la un club privat de pe plajă, la care au participat membri ai ambelor cluburi, precum și membrii Rotary din Chicago. Sperăm că aceste relații vor consolida și mai mult obiectivele Rotary.
În scurt timp ne vom îndrepta spre aeroport.

🇬🇧 Dear Friends!
As soon as we arrived in Freetown, we were welcomed very well. Both Rotary clubs, Freetown Sunset invited us to their Wednesday night meeting and then we attended the weekly meeting of the Freetown club on Thursday at noon. Both clubs invited us to give a brief presentation and report. It was a very good conversation with our Rotary friends. One club had a French member and the other a Chicago member, as visitor. Of course we also talked to them. After the club meeting on Thursday, we handed over the laptops to the children's representatives of the schools selected by the clubs. We handed over a donation of USD 1000, which will be spent with the help of the Freetown club to improve the Magbondoline elementary school, named after the Hungarian-born Africa researcher, Emil Torday.
In the evening, a reception was held in our honor at a private club on the beach, attended by members of both clubs, as well as Chicago Rotary members. We hope that these relationships will further strengthen Rotary's objectives.
We will be heading to the airport shortly.

🇭🇺 9-én este részt vettünk a RC Freetown Sunset találkozóján, ahol kedves emberekkel találkoztunk, illetve egy francia klub tagja is részt vett, és megalapoztunk egy további közös együttműködést. Dr. György Fazakas István kollegánk felajánlott egy tapasztalatcserét olyan helyi sebészeknek, akik szeretnének fejlődni. A klub megköszönte a nagylelkű ajánlatot, és vállalta az érdekelt orvosok felkutatását.

🇹🇩 În seara zilei de 9, am participat la întâlnirea RC Freetown Sunset, unde am întâlnit câteva persoane drăguțe, iar un membru francez al clubului a fost prezent și am stabilit o nouă cooperare. Colegul nostru Dr. György Fazakas István a oferit un schimb de experiență chirurgilor locali care doresc să se perfecționeze. Clubul i-a mulțumit pentru oferta sa generoasă și s-a angajat să găsească medici interesați.

🇬🇧 On the evening of the 9th we attended the RC Freetown Sunset meeting, where we met some nice people and a French club member attended and we established a further cooperation. Our colleague Dr. György Fazakas István offered an exchange of experiences to local surgeons who would like to improve. The club thanked him for his generous offer and undertook to find interested doctors.
