The President of the Transylvanian Heraldry and Vexillology Association, Attila István Szekeres, presented a paper at the 31st International Congress of Vexillology, held in Paris from 6 to 10 July 2026 and organized by the French Society of Vexillology (Société française de vexillologie – SFV). The title of his presentation was Vexillum and Velum: Rethinking Flag Terminology in Transylvanian Heraldry, 16th–17th Centuries (Vexillum et Velum. Pour une relecture de la terminologie vexillologique dans l’héraldique transylvaine, XVIe–XVIIe siècles). On 7 July, he also represented the Transylvanian Heraldry and Vexillology Association at the 29th General Assembly of the International Federation of Vexillological Associations (Fédération internationale des associations vexillologiques – FIAV).
