🇵🇹 Ananda Kalyani, Covilhã, Portugal | Sept 24 – Oct 1, 2026 🇵🇹✨

Our team of youth workers from Greece has just returned from the incredibly inspiring "FLAME: Fire Lessons for Adaptation and Mitigation in Europe" training course! 🔥🌲

Through practical activities and hands-on action
our participants gathered to tackle wildfire prevention and climate adaptation. They got their hands directly in the soil , walked through post-fire landscapes to understand ecological restoration, practiced nature-based solutions, and helped with reforestation efforts in the area.

Beyond the fieldwork, the inspiring natural environment of Ananda Kalyani gave them the perfect space to connect and recharge. The intense workshops were balanced with mindfulness, yoga, and meditation. 🧘‍♀️

A huge thank you to the organizers, EcoAtivo and Ananda Kalyani, for hosting this incredibly immersive experience and providing the tools to make a real difference. It was an absolute honor to share this journey with youth workers and community leaders from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Georgia, and Greece! 🌍💚

Our team has returned home with fresh ideas, strong connections, and the certainty that real climate resilience starts right in our local communities.🌱🚀

🇧🇬 Pamporovo, Bulgaria | August 10–19, 2026 🇧🇬✨

It’s been just over a month since our team returned from the breathtaking Bulgarian Mountains for the "Reset & Recharge: The Science of Restoration" training course! 🌲⛰️

21 youth workers and educators gathered at the Pamporovo Ski Resort to really dig into the importance of mental well-being, life balance, and self-care. Instead of just sitting in traditional seminars, we explored hands-on, accessible practices to help combat isolation, anxiety, and burnout in our communities. We tackled everything from managing stress and understanding neurodiversity, to brain hygiene and healthy digital routines. 🧠✨

The mountain environment was absolutely perfect for this. We stepped completely out of our daily hustle to practice the art of forest bathing, went on gratitude walks, and connected deeply with nature. We also got super creative, using storytelling, Image Theatre, and a creative theater workshop to design engaging mental health campaigns that we can actually use back home. And of course, the Intercultural Evenings kept us connected and learning from each other's diverse backgrounds every night! 🌍🤝

A massive thank you to our incredible host organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bulgaria, for organizing such an impactful experience and providing a safe, empowering space for us to learn and recharge. ✨️

We're heading into the autumn feeling refreshed, equipped with practical new tools, and ready to advocate for mental health and resilience in our daily youth work! 🌱🚀

🇵🇹 Oeiras, Portugal | August 4–17, 2026 🇵🇹✨

Our team has just returned from the incredible Erasmus+ youth exchange "SDGs Change Makers" in Portugal! 🌍

This mobility brought together 43 passionate participants from six different countries to tackle the 17 Sustainable Development Goals head-on. Instead of just talking about the future we want for our generation, we actively embarked in non-formal learning to figure out exactly how to make sustainability a reality across all areas of society. 💪🏻

Our two weeks staying at Casa Europa were packed with hands-on workshops and dynamic group work. We dove into a World Café discussing consumerism, got creative during a recycling and reuse atelier, and brainstormed ways to promote healthy and safe behaviors.

Our participants got to also interact the the local community through sportive activities like kayaking, orienteering volleyball and golf ⛳️
As well as through their volunteering in local dog shelters and beach clean-ups ⛱️

The youth exchange culminated with a street action excursion where we talked with the locals to raise awareness about the different SDGs we learned about.

We even got to explore the local heritage through a Photomarathon in Sintra, and a tour of Lisbon! 📸🌿

Of course, the absolute heart of this exchange was intercultural dialogue and social inclusion. From taking Portuguese classes and learning European dances to sharing our unique traditions during vibrant Intercultural Evenings, we broke down prejudices and built strong, cross-border bonds. 🤝✨

A massive thank you to our amazing host organization, ProAtlântico - Associação Juvenil, , for providing the perfect space for us to grow, connect, and thrive. It was an absolute honor to collaborate with such inspiring change-makers from Portugal 🇵🇹, Spain 🇪🇸 (), Bulgaria 🇧🇬 (), Lithuania 🇱🇹 (), Italy 🇮🇹 (.italy), and of course our own team from Greece 🇬🇷!

The exchange may have wrapped up, but our drive to be active citizens and launch concrete projects in our hometowns to achieve the SDGs has never been stronger!

🇷🇴 Râmnicu Vâlcea, Romania | June 28 – July 7, 2026 ✨

We are still carrying the incredible energy from the "I AM RESPONSIBLE!" Erasmus+ youth exchange (Project Code: 2025-3-RO01-KA152-YOU-000372675) that took place in Romania earlier this summer! 🌍

Instead of just sitting through standard lectures, our 45 young participants got totally immersed in hands-on, non-formal learning workshops. We explored what it actually means to be an active citizen right now, learning how to take real responsibility for the future of our communities. Together, we dove deep into actionable ways we can champion environmental sustainability and advocate for genuine social inclusion. We also tackled the challenges of our modern era, unpacking media literacy, sharpening our critical thinking, and navigating a digital world increasingly shaped by Artificial Intelligence to design creative, impactful campaigns. 🗣

Of course, the real magic happened between the sessions. We bonded over vibrant Intercultural Nights, sharing traditions, local food, and building friendships that completely erased borders. 🤝✨

A massive shoutout to our incredible host, ATDE (Tarabostes Association) , for creating such an empowering space. Asociatia Tarabostes - ATDE

It was an absolute honor to share this journey with passionate change-makers from Romania 🇷🇴, Türkiye 🇹🇷 (Girişimci Gençlik Kulübü Derneği), Serbia 🇷🇸 (Zdravo i Zeleno), North Macedonia 🇲🇰 (Youth Leaders for Global Change), and our own amazing NextGen Cosmos team from Greece! 🇬🇷

Our time in Râmnicu Vâlcea might be over, but our drive to build a more inclusive and responsible Europe has never been stronger. 🚀

🇹🇷 Ankara, Turkey | June 22-28, 2026 ✨

Our Erasmus+ youth exchange, "Voices for Tomorrow," recently wrapped up in Ankara, and what a transformative week it was! 🙏
Instead of just talking about leadership, we put it into action. Through dynamic workshops and creative competitions (including theater, painting, and sports) our participants explored teamwork, responsibility, and decision-making. 🤝🎨 We also tackled vital social issues, focusing heavily on how to advocate for and include disadvantaged groups within our communities. 🌍

Beyond the workshops, we bonded over a vibrant Intercultural Night, a beautiful Gala, and sightseeing across Turkey's capital, building friendships that bridge borders. 🏛️🎉

A massive thank you to our incredible host, Hatay Foundation (Hatayvakfi Hatay) 🇹🇷, for making this possible, as well as our partner organizations: Associazione Spazio Etneo 🇮🇹, Udruga Mladih "Korak" 🇭🇷, Asociación Creamos Europa 🇪🇸, Tavo Europa 🇱🇹, and of course, our own amazing Next Gen Cosmos (NextGen Cosmos) team from Greece! 🇬🇷
The exchange may be over, but our drive to raise our voices and build a more inclusive tomorrow has never been stronger! 🗣️💫
