Our fields of action: medical (blood donation campaign), fight against social exclusion (inclusion of rooming-in communities) and promotion of local solidarity. OUR PROJECT :
The main goal of the "Key to Solidarity" project is to promote solidarity through non-formal volunteering activities in support of young people with reduced opportunities in Valcea County. Solidarity is needed among the loc
al community, in general and especially in pandemic crisis situations, as the Coronavirus pandemic is at the moment. The volunteering project will promote solidarity in terms of blood donation to hospitals and will implement hygiene information campaigns. The project aims to build bridges between people with different background promoting solidarity at the local communit ylevel after carrying out activities with young people with Down syndrome and marginalized young people from Roma communities. I am 28 years old. I studied finance at university. I was working as an accountant in my country. Then I decided to make changes in my life and I thought Erasmus projects would be perfect for this. Then I decided to choose the project in Romania and come here. What I want to do here is to improve my English, learn some Romanian language, make new friends, see new countries and new civilizations, and of course do something for as many people as possible, to be useful to them. I am very happy to be here and I am sure I will leave with great experience and great memories when the project is over. Daria
I am twenty-two years old. I have been working as a teacher for almost three years in Ukraine and the Czech Republic. I have recently graduated from the National University of Ostroh Academy and hold a Master's degree in English and German languages. I am a teacher, so I understand the importance of educating younger generations. They have a chance to be different, less selfish, and more conscious about ecological issues, human rights, diversity and cross-cultural communication. That is why I like the initiative to organize classes and events for kids and teenagers. I know the methods which might motivate them, and indeed be more interested in the topic. I know I am a quick, self-disciplined, and hard-working learner. I expect to work hard every day and gain a lot of knowledge. I should also mention that I have always wanted to visit Romania since my friends used to live Sibiu, and they were absolutely fascinated with Romanian people, nature and culture. Safa

In this project I will be able to improve my skills in communicating with people, learn a new language for myself, and also help people around me. I am sure that this particular project will also help me improve my skills in medicine, because in the future I want to become a doctor, help people and treat my patients. I am fond of outdoor sports, so the topic of environmental protection is close to me. If we protect and cherish it, then in the future we will be able to give the best to the new generation. I am 23 years old, and have recently graduated from Polytechnic University where I hold a Master’s degree in Automatization and computer integrated technologies. I am an IT specialist and work for a Ukrainian IT company as a Data engineer. I am here because I always wanted to go out of my comfort zone and immerse myself in a different and unknown culture. I have never taken part in volunteering projects where I can improve my soft skills and communicate with people who have different mentality and mindset. Moreover, I would be happy to start my own project connected to critical thinking and filtering information as it was always an issue. People don’t know how to control their emotions which makes them believe in everything. Critical thinking will help teens be more mature and sensible. After a year in Romania, I expect to become open-minded and easy-going. I would like to achieve fluency in the Romanian language because the best way to learn the language is practice. Walid

Reda
Hello everyone, My name is Reda, a 20 year old from Morocco. I studied Economic & Management at the University and chose that because i've always been interested in understanding how to develop production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. My passion and enthusiasm lead me to be part of this meaningful long-term project in Romania that would ultimately provide me with the opportunity to see the world, gain new perspective and meet people around the world to make a family, to make friends for life. We may have a different definition of Solidarity but we all agree on one thing that Solidarity is a recognition that we are all in this together, and is a commitment to strengthen community and promote a just society. One Team, One Target

Hello, my name is Pierre, I'm from France. I am a student in political science and economics specialising in European studies. I came as a volunteer in order to perfect my field of study, which is the European Union. I also came in the hope of improving my language skills and learning Romanian. I am very interested in social issues and the ways in which public policies and/or civil society initiatives can help. I already came to Romania in 2016, during another humanitarian stay, and I happened to love this country, its culture and the kindness of its people. I swore I would come back, and here I am again. My name is Esraa Ashraf I'm 25 years old and I'm from Egypt, I'm a graduate of Benha University Faculty of Arts _ Department of Geography and Information Systems . I have experience in hospitality because I was working in a tourist hotel in Hurghada and I learned the German language there and I have enough experience in dealing with people of different nationalities and cultures, I wish to have more experience from our project by helping many people to support me in my life and give me power to treat people who are in need for help.
