🏃‍♀️🤝 Sometimes, the best way to bring people together is simply to get moving.
So-borders | ROHU 000057 brought the communities of Létavértes (HU) and Săcueni (RO) together through sport, health and shared experiences, creating new opportunities to meet, learn and connect across the border.
Implemented by the Association for the Citizens of Létavértes ’97 (HU) and the Association Sport Club “Eagles of Săcueni” (RO), the project connected people of all ages through Sport Days, community events, health and sports workshops, and joint activities focused on healthy and active lifestyles. 🏃‍♂️
And somewhere between the games, conversations and shared experiences, something more lasting grew: new friendships and a stronger sense of community on both sides of the border.

💃🎻 Traditions have a way of bringing people together, especially when a new generation makes them their own.
FOLKLORE | ROHU00562 has come to an end, but the community it created is only beginning to grow. The project brought young people from the Nyíregyháza–Carei region together through folk dance, music, shared learning, and the joy of creating something side by side.
Implemented by Igrice Néptáncegyüttes Közhasznú Egyesület (HU) and Asociația Culturală Rekettye – Carei (RO), the project trained young people in communication, project planning, and folk culture, while providing them with opportunities to rehearse, perform, organise events, and learn from one another. The highlight was the creation of a joint folk dance ensemble, a new cross-border community built around shared traditions. 🌿
From the three-day folk dance and music camp to the DanceHouse events and Pulyabál FolkDance Fest, young dancers and musicians from both countries learned that cooperation is not just about working together — it is about becoming a team.

🎨 Some projects create art. Others create connections. COMMUNITIES THROUGH ART | ROHU00435 created both.
Now completed, the project brought communities from Romania and Hungary together through murals, film, virtual reality, and shared cultural experiences that inspired creativity, dialogue, and trust.
Implemented by the Anthropolis Anthropological Public Benefit Association (HU) and the Citizenit Association (RO), the project gave young artists new opportunities to learn and cooperate, transformed public spaces into places where art sparked dialogue, and encouraged hundreds of people to discover, experience, and create together. 🎭🎥🖌️
💬 “At the end of one of our student workshops in Szeged, the Romanian students decided to stay two more days because the Hungarian students had already invited them to stay at their homes. 🚀 Behind every successful project are people willing to sit around the same table, tackle challenges together, and keep moving forward.
This week, in Szeged (7 July) and Oradea (8 July), representatives of the Managing Authority, Hungarian National Authority, Joint Secretariat, National Control Bodies of Romania and Hungary, the Info Point, and partners implementing 39 standard projects came together for two days of constructive technical discussions.
The sessions focused on implementation progress, current challenges, practical solutions, and the actions needed to accelerate delivery and achieve the Programme's objectives.
Thank you to all participants for the productive dialogue, collaborative spirit, and continued commitment to turning cross-border cooperation into tangible results.

Border regions shape everyday life in ways that maps don't capture. The European Commission's Border Focal Point Network wants to hear those experiences.

We are looking for 10 young to join a six-month programme where you will share your perspectives, create content, and bring real voices from border communities into EU-level conversations.

🤝 Every project leaves something behind.
Sometimes, it is new infrastructure. Sometimes, new knowledge.
And sometimes, it is something less visible, but just as important: trust, stronger partnerships, and the confidence that change is possible when people work together.

That is the story of UNITE – The Unseen Aggression |ROHU00002.
Over the past year, partners from Romania and Hungary joined forces to prevent and combat domestic violence through awareness, education, and cross-border cooperation. Together, they connected more than 30 institutions, reached 867 students through educational activities in 14 schools, organised 6 community awareness events, produced 6 videos and 6 podcasts, and trained 100 professionals from both countries.
📍 The closing conference in Nyíregyháza marked the end of the project's implementation, but not the end of its impact.
Because the most lasting results are often those that continue long after the final event: stronger professional networks, shared expertise, and a common commitment to action. 💜

Domestic violence knows no borders.
