FEMICIDE
A pregnant woman, murdered with her child in her arms.
A broken life, a broken childhood, a silence that envelops us again.
📣 Violence against women is not an exception. It is a system.
A system that ignores the signals, that always asks us to "prove", to be "more careful", "less vulnerable". A system that does not stop the criminals, but blames the victims.
💬 Romanian Women's Lobby demands real measures:
– permanent funding for shelters and emergency services,
- sustainable funding for non-governmental organizations that provide prevention, protection and support for women and children victims of violence
– immediate protection, not legal formalities,
– education for prevention and responsibility.
🔴 Women no longer have to be killed to be taken seriously.
🔴 Children should not witness their mother's last cry.
🔴 We want laws that protect us, we don't want to be pitied.
We don't forget. We don't forgive. We don't remain silent.
