So much kindness, magic, and wisdom lives in those eyes, in their smiles, and in their stories. They are our true wisdom keepers, so proud of their heritage, their culture, their families, and their art.
They are stewards of the land and master crafters. Their hands…which have given so much love and gone through suffering…are the same hands that embroider breathtaking traditional patterns, roll out perfect homemade pasta and cheeses. They tend to the earth with a gentle patience, growing the juiciest tomatoes you could ever taste, making their own homemade soap, taking care of their family and animals, and keeping their traditions alive.
More than anything, they are the very essence of hospitality. The moment you arrive, they open their gates full of roses and flowers, welcoming you into houses filled with beautiful textiles proudly made by them on the looms or by hand. Every wall tells a story, decorated with family photos, beautiful plates painted by hand with vibrant folk and nature images.
They open their homes, their kitchens, and their deepest stories to you. To sit with them is to be wrapped in warmth, to be hugged by Mother Earth.
Guardians of the past, anchors of the present, inspiring our future. ✨
