How many smiles did you receive today? 🙂
For eight days, our team took part in an Erasmus+ training course in Villagar de Toranzo, in beautiful Spain.
The programme focused on empowering youth workers to become changemakers in their communities. For real change to happen, the key “elements” needed to be aligned:
🧠the head (information and tools),
🤲the hands (community service and exploration) and
💗the heart (connection and community).
Throughout the course, we explored tools such as: Design Thinking, Theory U, Human-Centered design and the World Café approach. We were inspired by local changemakers, worked with real-life case studies and, most importantly, created meaningful spaces for connection, both within ourselves and with others.
And because life doesn’t come with a set of instructions to follow, what we take home are not only tools, but also questions and deep reflections. Some of them will continue to resonate with us:
When the learner is ready, the master appears.
What is your legacy? Every person you have “touched” is part of it.
Being together matters more than agreeing.
And if you’re wondering about the title: impact and change begin on the inside, and only then shine outward as light for others to see. 🌞
So, how many smiles did you receive today? 🙂
