Hero ❤️ is a true hero—a hero who captures hearts. 😍
He won us over instantly ❤️; he has such a beautiful soul! His calm and gentle nature is wonderful; he looks at you with dark eyes full of hope for a real life! 🙏🏼
The video is from August, filmed by a visitor from Germany; he isn't shy at all and really enjoys the attention.
Hero is currently living in the makeshift shelter where we house dogs rescued from a horrific, illegal kill shelter. These are all dogs we know from our local area; they are now safe, well-cared-for, and medically checked, and will soon be able to move to the main shelter grounds of Asociatia pentru protectia animalelor Cezar.
Hero definitely had an owner at some point—you can sense it in the way he interacts with people.

We want nothing more than for him to find a real home! 🙏🏼 Perhaps there are some black dog lovers here? 🐾

Fram is both a charmer and a clown. ❤️😍❤️

He knows exactly what he’s doing. 😁😍
Fram is a great guy who loves human attention—even from visitors at the shelter.

We rescued Fram from a kill shelter along with other dogs. Naturally, he has received a full medical check-up and treatment, a microchip, and vaccinations—everything that goes with it!

He is now 4 years old, will we find a real home for him?

Valerie ❤️
Why no one see her and adopt her?
Valerie is a very kind, mid size dog,
only 2 years old - in the best age. 🐾

Valerie is playfull and love to run, climb, snif and play. She sleeps inside our shelter house and is friendly to all the other dogs when they are in the free run area.
Valerie is a clever girl, she lives on the street before and learn there how to climb on walls to find ways to get in other areas 😅, so Valerie need a home with high fences when she runs free. And active people for many excurces. 🐾

Valerie got a puppy when we took her to our shelter Asociatia pentru protectia animalelor Cezar, her daughter was adopted, lives now in Germany.

Please share Valerie! She is a great dog! 💓

Sweet girl Blanche ❤️
Blanche is 2.5 years old, stands 46 cm tall, and simply charms everyone with her big, soulful eyes and lovely nature! 😍🐾
Blanche is a calm dog; she barely draws attention when you walk past her kennel in our shelter.
She lives there with a male dog named Shorty, who is just as laid-back as she.

To answer the question that is sure to come up: the mark under Blanche's eye is light pink pigmentation—it is neither an injury nor tear discharge.
Blanche is happy and healthy; she is vaccinated, microchipped, tested for Mediterranean diseases, and spayed, making her ready at any time to travel to a real life.

Hope ❤️🐾 Her name says it all—she hasn't given up hope that her people will come and adopt her. 🙏🏼🍀
Hope is six years old (50 cm tall) and a shy dog, but look into her loyal eyes: she is trusting and simply needs time to get to know new people. With us, she is sweet and enjoys our interaction. 🥰
This video was taken by our fellow animal welfare colleague from Germany during their very first meeting. It gives you a great sense of Hope's personality: reserved and shy, but not fearful. 🐾

Hope is vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.

The fun-loving girl Bitzi ❤️

She is 4 years old (50 cm tall) and since 08.2025 in our shelter.
She love human contact, and we wish so much for her to have a real life outside the shelter. 🍀

Bitzi has too much weight because of less activity in the kennel (and perhaps because of the castration), but she is fit otherwise.

The fun-loving girl Bitze ❤️

She is 4 years old (50 cm tall) and since 08.2025 in our shelter.
She love human contact, and we wish so much for her to have a real life outside the shelter. 🍀

Bitze must have suffered a fracture in her foot at some point; unfortunately, one of her feet is turned sideways. She manages fine, but naturally, this would need to be checked out in the event of an adoption.

Anika 🥰 is a calm and affectionate dog!
Will we find her forever family?

Anika and her kennel mate Ares once had owners and knew the good side of humans—but sadly, the bad side too: dog catchers came and "stole" Anika and Ares so they could make money by handing them over to a kill shelter.
😢😤
After a long period of anxiety and negotiations, we managed to get Anika (and Ares) out just before their time ran out. They spent six months in quarantine with us, undergoing examinations, treatments, and vaccinations—they made it through and are healthy! 🙏🏼

By the end of the year, they will be moving from the quarantine area to the main shelter area. 🐾

Or perhaps we can even find adopters for Anika (and Ares)⁉️

Anika is now 5 years old; she may have some Labrador mix in her. Due to vitamins, good food, and a lack of exercise, Anika is unfortunately a bit overweight, but otherwise healthy.
