Csapatunk ötödik és egyben utolsó állomása Róma, az örök város volt, ahol egy szűk napot töltöttek a fiatalok, megismerkedvén a város gazdag ókori örökségével. Első megálló a Kolosszeum volt, a híres gladiátor csatáknak otthont adó küzdőtér, amellyet Traianus oszlopa követett, ahol országunk történelmének fizikai lenyomatával ismerkedhetett meg a csapat. Ezt követően a Pantheon került meglátogatásra, majd a romai templomok egy kisebb szelete, ahol a kedvenc a Sant’Ignazio di Loyola lett. Így zárult az első csapat európai időutazós kirándulása. 📜

A cincea și ultima oprire a echipei noastre a fost Roma, Orașul Etern, unde tinerii au petrecut o zi plină familiarizându-se cu bogata moștenire antică a orașului. Prima oprire a fost Colosseumul, arena care a găzduit faimoasele lupte de gladiatori, urmată de Columna lui Traian, unde echipa a putut descoperi o amprentă fizică a istoriei țării noastre. Ulterior, a fost vizitat Panteonul, apoi o mică selecție de biserici romane, dintre care preferata a devenit Sant’Ignazio di Loyola. Astfel s-a încheiat excursia de călătorie în timp prin Europa a primei echipe. 📜

The fifth and final stop for our team was Rome, the Eternal City, where the youth spent a full day getting acquainted with the city's rich ancient heritage. The first stop was the Colosseum, the arena that once hosted the famous gladiator battles, followed by Trajan's Column, where the team could see a physical imprint of our country's history. Afterward, they visited the Pantheon, followed by a small selection of Roman churches, among which the Sant’Ignazio di Loyola became the favorite. Thus concluded the first team's European time-traveling journey. 📜

A negyedik megálló Nápoly volt, ahol a csapat a középkori nagyvárosok hangulatában mélyülhetett el, felfedezve a híres Spaccanapoli utcát, ahol a modern turizmus és a nápolyi patina oly színes kavalkádban keveredik. A Sansevero kápolnától a Sant’Elmo várig csapatunk bejárta Nápoly teljes középkori történelmét, ízelítőt kapván a középkor sármjából és sötétjéből egyaránt. Mind emellett a klasszikus nápolyi látványosságokból sem volt hiány, mint például a legendás pizzázóból, számos Maradona freskóból, a vulkáni tufa burkolta utcáiból, különc árusaiból és fekete homokos strandjaiból. 🌇

Cea de-a patra oprire a fost Napoli, unde echipa s-a putut cufunda în atmosfera marilor orașe medievale, explorând faimoasa stradă Spaccanapoli, unde turismul modern și patina napolitană se amestecă într-un vârtej atât de colorat. De la Capela Sansevero până la Castelul Sant’Elmo, echipa noastră a parcurs întreaga istorie medievală a orașului Napoli, primind o mostră atât din farmecul, cât și din latura întunecată a Evului Mediu. Pe lângă toate acestea, nu au lipsit nici atracțiile clasice napolitane, precum legendarele pizzerii, numeroasele fresce cu Maradona, străzile pavate cu tuf vulcanic, vânzătorii excentrici și plajele cu nisip negru. 🌇

The fourth stop was Naples, where the team could immerse themselves in the atmosphere of medieval metropolises, exploring the famous Spaccanapoli street, where modern tourism and Neapolitan patina blend in such a colorful cavalcade. From the Sansevero Chapel to the Castel Sant’Elmo, our team traversed the entire medieval history of Naples, getting a taste of both the charm and the darkness of the Middle Ages. In addition, there was no shortage of classic Neapolitan sights, such as legendary pizzerias, numerous Maradona murals, streets paved with volcanic tuff, eccentric vendors, and black sand beaches. 🌇

A fiatalok harmadik megállónak, a kaland barokk korszakának székhelyéül Nizzát választották, ahol az első teendő egy strandolás volt a Promenade des Anglais barokk épületeivel tarkított parton. A másnapi felfedező túra során megismerkedhettek a barokk építészettel a városközpontban, meglátogatva a bazilikát és a Lascaris palotát. A város feletti park és helyi gasztronómiával való barátkozás után a Beaux-Arts múzeumban zárult a meglehetősen esős-szeles nap a csapat számára. 🌅

Pentru cea de-a treia etapă a călătoriei lor, tinerii au ales orașul Nisa ca sediu al erei baroce a aventurii lor, unde prima activitate a fost o sesiune de plajă pe malul Promenade des Anglais, presărat cu clădiri baroce. În timpul turului de explorare de a doua zi, aceștia s-au familiarizat cu arhitectura barocă din centrul orașului, vizitând bazilica și Palatul Lascaris. După vizitarea parcului de deasupra orașului și explorarea gastronomiei locale, ziua destul de ploioasă și vântoasă s-a încheiat pentru echipă la Muzeul de Arte Frumoase (Beaux-Arts). 🌅

For the third stop of their journey, the youth chose Nice as the headquarters for the Baroque era of their adventure, where their first order of business was a visit to the beach along the Promenade des Anglais, dotted with Baroque buildings. During the following day's exploratory tour, they got to know the Baroque architecture of the city center, visiting the basilica and the Palais Lascaris. After enjoying the park overlooking the city and getting acquainted with the local gastronomy, the team concluded a rather rainy and windy day at the Musée des Beaux-Arts. 🌅

Csapatunk második megállóját és egyben a modern kor fejezetét a Milánói dómmal kezdte, ahonnan kiváló kilátás nyílt a brutalista Velasca toronyra és a “solarpunk” Bosco Verticale épületére egyaránt. Ezután a Pinacoteca Ambrosiana következett, ahol Da Vinci jegyzetek mellett különféle kora modern művészeti alkotásokat tekinthettünk meg, amelyeket a Gallerie d’Italia kiállítása egészített ki a késeiekkel. Pörögtünk egyet a szerencsebikán a híres milánói galériában, majd a napot a Sempione parkból búcsúztattuk. Így végződött az időutazásuk modern korszaka. 🗺️

Echipa noastră a început a doua oprire a călătoriei — și, totodată, capitolul dedicat Erei Moderne — la Domul din Milano, de unde s-a deschis o priveliște excelentă atât asupra turnului brutalist Velasca, cât și asupra clădirii „solarpunk” Bosco Verticale. A urmat apoi Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, unde am putut admira însemnările lui Da Vinci alături de diverse opere de artă modernă timpurie, acestea fiind completate de lucrările moderne târzii din cadrul Gallerie d’Italia. Ne-am învârtit pentru noroc pe „taurul norocos” din celebra galerie milaneză, iar apoi am încheiat ziua în Parcul Sempione. Astfel s-a încheiat etapa erei moderne a călătoriei lor în Milano. 🗺️

Our team began the second stop of their journey—and the chapter on the Modern Era—at the Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano), which offered a spectacular view of both the brutalist Velasca Tower and the "solarpunk" Bosco Verticale. This was followed by a visit to the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, where we viewed Da Vinci’s notebooks alongside various early modern artworks, complemented by the later pieces at the Gallerie d’Italia. We took a spin on the "lucky bull" in the famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, then bid farewell to the day from Sempione Park. Thus concluded the modern era of their time travel in Milan. 🗺️

Szeptemberi csapatunk utazásának első megállója München volt. A város a posztmodern korszakot képviselte, amely a csapat szerint „távolabbi mélységeket feszenget, mint az egyetlen igazság”. Meglátásaik szerint a bajor főváros az „újszerű önkifejezés és a keresztény szerénység művészetének tárlata”. Az itt töltött idő a helyi kultúrából való gyors ízelítőről, a modern múzeumokról és a várost tarkító modern csavarral megspékelt emlékművekről szólt. A borús, enyhén esős nap ellenére sem volt kevésbé lelkes a csapat. Felfedeztük a modern nagyvárosokra jellemző multikulturalitást, a helyiek úttörő szabadidős tevékenységeit, mint például különféle falfestményeket, a város alól kibukkanó folyón való szörfözést, az IAA Mobility Week mutatta technológiai vívmányokat, továbbá posztmodern architektúrában is gyönyörködhettünk. Ily módon tárult fel az első város, nagyszerűen indítva az utazást. 📖

Prima oprire a călătoriei echipei noastre din septembrie a fost München, reprezentând era postmodernă care, în viziunea lor, „explorează profunzimi mai îndepărtate decât un singur adevăr”. Conform observațiilor lor, orașul este o „expoziție a artei autoexprimării inedite și a modestiei creștine”. Timpul petrecut aici a fost despre o scurtă incursiune în cultura locală, vizitarea muzeelor moderne și admirarea monumentelor presărate cu o notă modernă. În ciuda zilei mohorâte și ușor ploioase, entuziasmul echipei nu a scăzut. Am descoperit multiculturalismul caracteristic metropolelor moderne, activitățile de recreere vizionare ale localnicilor, cm ar fi diversele picturi murale sau surfing-ul pe râul care izvorăște de sub oraș , realizările tehnologice prezentate în cadrul IAA Mobility Week și, de asemenea, am putut admira arhitectura postmodernă. Astfel s-a dezvăluit primul oraș, marcând un început minunat al călătoriei. 📖

The first stop of our September team's journey was Munich, representing the postmodern era, which, in their view, "probes deeper horizons than a single truth." According to their insights, the city is an "exhibition of the art of novel self-expression and Christian modesty." The time spent here was about getting a quick taste of the local culture, exploring modern museums, and admiring monuments dotted with a modern twist. Despite the overcast and slightly rainy day, the team’s enthusiasm remained undiminished. We discovered the multiculturalism typical of modern metropolises, the pioneering leisure activities of the locals—such as various murals and surfing on the river emerging from beneath the city—and the technological achievements showcased by IAA Mobility Week. We also had the chance to marvel at the postmodern architecture. In this way, the first city revealed itself, marking a magnificent start to the journey. 📖

A január végén zajlott CULTURAL LAYERS Erasmus+ programjának keretén belül a romániai fiatalok becsatlakoztak a szervezet által megrendezett tematikus napba, amely a Women in Science nevet kapta. Mind a résztvevő hat ország kiválasztott egy tudományban fontos eredményeket elérő női képviselőt. A romániai csapat Karikó Katalint ismertette meg a nemzetközi csoportokkal. Karikó Katalin magyar-amerikai kutatóbiológus, akinek a neve a szintetikus mRNS alapú vakcinák orvosi technológiájának kifejlesztésével hozható összefüggésbe. Ma, február 11-én a Nők és lányok a tudományban nemzetközi napja van.

În cadrul programului Erasmus+ CULTURAL LAYERS, desfășurat la finalul lunii ianuarie, tinerii din România s-au alăturat zilei tematice organizate de asociație, care a primit numele Women in Science.
Fiecare dintre cele șase țări participante a ales o reprezentantă care a obținut rezultate importante în știință. Echipa din România a prezentat grupurilor internaționale pe Katalin Karikó.
Katalin Karikó este o cercetătoare biolog de origine maghiaro-americană, al cărei nume este asociat cu dezvoltarea tehnologiei medicale a vaccinurilor pe bază de mARN sintetic.
Astăzi, 11 februarie, este Ziua Internațională a Femeilor și Fetelor în Știință.

As part of the CULTURAL LAYERS Erasmus+ programme, which took place at the end of January, young people from Romania joined the thematic day organized by the association, called Women in Science.
Each of the six participating countries selected a female figure who has achieved significant results in science. The Romanian team introduced Katalin Karikó to the international groups.
Katalin Karikó is a Hungarian-American research biologist whose name is linked to the development of the medical technology behind synthetic mRNA-based vaccines.
Today, February 11, is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
