Foundation Charis Foundation Charis is a Romanian/Dutch non-profit organization which cares for the vulnerable and marginalized people, situated in Floreşti -Cluj.

Changes take time. By working a lot with the children, we hope that the changes will take place in the long term. Through various projects such as the education center "Speranta" and the children's program, we notice that changes are taking place in the children. These children are entitled to a better future! We like to work together with other foundations and churches to achieve these goals in Romania.

For the past four months, Seth, our volunteer from the Netherlands, has been part of our team. He arrived at just the right moment to help us with our website, and as a skilled IT expert, he also helped us sort computers. He also took on hands-on work through the foundation, such as gardening and more. He did it all with commitment and a great attitude.
We truly appreciate everything you've done for us. We wish you all the best, and you'll always be welcome back! 🌍

În ultimele patru luni, Seth, voluntarul nostru din Olanda, a făcut parte din echipa noastră. A venit exact la momentul potrivit pentru a ne ajuta cu site-ul și, fiind un foarte bun expert IT, ne-a ajutat și la sortarea calculatoarelor. A desfășurat și activități practice prin fundație, precum grădinărit și multe altele. Totul a fost făcut cu implicare și mult entuziasm.

(EN) A Week of Blessings & Connection!

A few weeks ago, we had the joy of gathering for our Women’s Conference, focusing on breaking destructive patterns from the past and remembering that our past does not have to determine our future.

💬 We shared a beautiful week filled with singing, games, laughter, creative activities, and meaningful moments with the women in our community and the wonderful participants who join us every year.

One of this year’s special activities was our “Gift Market,” where each woman prepared a small gift for another participant. A simple gesture, but one filled with joy and generosity. ❤️

🙏 We are grateful for the time we shared and for all the moments of encouragement, joy, and connection!

În urmă cu câteva săptămâni, am avut bucuria de a ne reuni la conferința pentru femei, unde am vorbit despre ruperea tiparelor distructive din trecut și despre faptul că trecutul nostru nu trebuie să ne decidă viitorul.

💬 Ne-am bucurat de o săptămână plină de cântec, jocuri, râsete, activități creative și momente frumoase alături de femeile din comunitatea noastră și participantele care ne revin cu drag în fiecare an.

Una dintre activitățile speciale de anul acesta a fost „Piața cadourilor”, unde fiecare femeie a pregătit un mic dar pentru o altă participantă. Un gest simplu, dar plin de bucurie și generozitate. ❤️

🙏 Suntem recunoscători pentru timpul petrecut împreună și pentru toate momentele de încurajare, bucurie și conexiune!

(RO) Marți, am sărbătorit încheierea anului școlar la Centrul Educațional Casa Speranța. Copiii au încheiat cu succes anul școlar, iar fiecare a primit o diplomă. Ne-am bucurat de jocuri, pizza și momente frumoase petrecute împreună, într-o atmosferă plină de bucurie. Vă dorim tuturor o vacanță de vară minunată și abia așteptăm să ne revedem în septembrie!

(EN)This Tuesday, we celebrated the end of the school year at the Casa Speranța Educational Center. The children successfully completed the school year and each received a diploma. We enjoyed fun games and shared pizza together, making it a joyful celebration. We wish everyone a wonderful summer holiday and look forward to seeing you again in September!

(RO) Luna trecută am avut bucuria de a primi vizita unui grup de oaspeți, prin intermediul lui E van Wijk România. Le-am oferit ocazia de a cunoaște mai îndeaproape viața comunității de romi din Florești și le-am prezentat activitatea desfășurată de Fundația Charis.
A fost o după-amiază deosebită, plină de conversații sincere și momente valoroase. Suntem recunoscători pentru interesul, implicarea și donația generoasă pe care am primit-o.

(EN) Last month we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of guests through E van Wijk Romania. We gave them a glimpse into the lives of the Roma community in Florești and shared about the work of Charis Foundation.

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with meaningful conversations. We are grateful for their interest, involvement, and the generous financial donation we received.

(NL) We hebben een nieuwe bus!

Dankzij jullie hulp en inzet hebben we een nieuwe bus kunnen aankopen. Vorige week is hij vanuit Nederland aangekomen.
Dit is mede mogelijk dankzij ‘De Passie’ uit Utrecht, die hiervoor een actie is gestart. Een vader van een leerling heeft zich hiervoor sterk ingezet. Hij heeft het grootste deel van het bedrag bij elkaar gebracht en de bus ook naar ons toe gebracht.
Hartelijk dank daarvoor.
Zo kunnen we weer jaren vooruit!

Thanks to your help and support, we were able to purchase a new bus. It arrived from the Netherlands last week.
This was made possible in part by De Passie in Utrecht, who started a fundraising campaign for this. The father of a student made a great effort. He raised most of the amount and also brought the bus to us.
Thank you very much for that.
This means we can keep going for many years to come!

Datorită ajutorului și sprijinului vostru, am putut cumpăra un microbuz nou. Acesta a sosit din Olanda săptămâna trecută.
Acest lucru a fost posibil și datorită școlii De Passie din Utrecht, care a inițiat o campanie de strângere de fonduri pentru acest scop. Tatăl unui elev s-a implicat foarte mult. El a strâns cea mai mare parte a sumei și a adus microbuzul până la noi.
