During last week our volunteers had an On Arrival Training!They shared moments with the trainers and others volunteers from other cities in Romania. They learned multiple things about living in a community, customs in Romania and also how to act with the beneficiaies of their project. One day the volunteers also met with the National Agency and talked about the culture shock, prejudices and administratives tasks that each and everyone of them have to do. Those meetings helped our ESC volunteers to learn on how to become the best version of themselves for their own individual proyects. They had multiple funny momoents they shared while participating together in the meetings!

„I’m a twenty years old, I’m a very courious and open minded person. I love languages and learning about new cultures. I’ve worked with kids and did various volunteering in the past. For example I planned events, teached languages or cooked for a shelter.
I also like writing poetry and presenting it.
I look forward to my time in Romania with all the local people and international experiences.“

And Adrian:
"I am 18 years old and my home country is Germany. After graduating high school in May, I now embark on an adventure in Romania hoping to help the community and Care2travel, meet new people, learn a new language and develop my personality."

This is Adrian, our ESC volunteer from Germany 🇩🇪, who is working on an ESC 🇪🇺 volunteering activity with the project number 2026-1-DE04-ESC51-VTJ-000401148, which is a European Solidarity Corps’ volunteering activity with our German 🇩🇪 partner, NaturKultur e. V. as the Lead- and Support Organisation and Care2Travel as the Host Organisation. 🤗

"Hey! My name is Adrian, I am 18 years old and my home country is Germany. After graduating high school in May, I now embark on an adventure in Romania hoping to help the community and Care2travel, meet new people, learn a new language and develop my personality.

In my Project I will assist in the office and in managing volunteers, post content on the social media accounts and assist the other projects, especially Community Inclusion 4.0. I will volunteer here for precisely one year.

After flying to bucharest on the 14th and continuing my travel with train and bus, I arrived in the beatiful town of Miercurea-Ciuc/Csikzereda in the heart of Transilvanya. In the just over two weeks I've been here already, I've already made new friends, met locals, learned first bits and pieces of Hungarian and visited lots and lots of local restaurants and cafes.

Some quick words about me: In my freetime I like to program, do some cycling and sports. My topics of interest are history, politics as well as philosophy and psychology, which I plan to study after my time in Romania."
