Proiectul IRAD constă în implementarea de activități de educație si implicare civică in localitățile Băilești și Segarcea din județul Dolj cu o rata a marginalizării ridicată și cu zone insuficient deservite unde s-a constatat lipsa spiritului civic in rândul tinerilor, lipsa abordării practice de predare a educației civice si dezinformarea on-line. Educația civică insuficientă în școli, oportunit
ățile limitate de învățare în afara școlilor și lipsa modelelor pozitive sunt obstacole în calea implicării și participării civice. In cadrul proiectului, se vor furniza cursuri pentru cadre didactice privind drepturile omului si activismul civic în școală cu ajutorul partenerului islandez Icelandic Human Rights Centre. Ulterior se vor realiza campanii de informare si conștientizare privind activismul civic si activități de diseminare a informațiilor dobândite la curs către alte cadre didactice din cele 3 licee. De asemenea va fi organizata o vizită de studiu în Islanda pentru a facilita schimbul de bune practici dintre partenerul islandez și cel roman. Va fi organizată o campanie privind media literacy si fake news în școli pentru a învăța tinerii să filtreze știrile false din rețelele sociale si alte surse. Vor fi constituite alegeri locale ale copiilor, ONG-uri simulate în cadrul celor 3 licee iar prin intermediul acestora elevii vor fi familiarizați cu instrumentele si contextul prin care se pot desfășura inițiativele civice iar ca aplicativitate se vor realiza efectiv inițiative de acest fel in comunitate de către elevi. Nu in ultimul rând se va realiza o activitate de dezvoltare organizaționala care va consta într-un training pentru membrii asociației privind managementul voluntarilor, fundraising si planificare strategica urmata de realizarea strategiei de dezvoltare organizațională. Valoarea adăugată a parteneriatului constă în preluarea de bune practici și expertiza de la partenerul islandez care poate fi replicată de partenerul roman. The project IRAD consists of the implementation of activities of civic implication and education in 2 communities from Dolj county with a high marginalization rate and with insufficiently served areas where there was a lack of civic spirit among young people, a lack of practical approach to teaching civic education and misinformation online. Training courses for teachers on human rights and civic activism in the school will be provided with the help of the Icelandic partner Icelandic Human Rights Centre. Subsequently, information and awareness campaigns regarding civic activism and dissemination of information acquired during the course will be carried out to other teachers from the 3 high schools. Also, a study visit to Iceland will be organized to facilitate the exchange of best practices between the Icelandic and Romanian partners and a campaign and workshops will be held on civic involvement of young people in order to increase their knowledge of human rights and civic activism among children of the 3 high schools selected. A campaign on media literacy and fake news will be organized in schools to teach children how to filter fake news from social networks and other sources. Simulated NGOs will be set up within the 3 high schools and through them the students will be familiarized with the tools and context through which the civic initiatives can be carried out and as an application, initiatives of this kind will be carried out in the community by the students. Last but not least, there will be an organizational development activity that will consist of a training for the members of the association on volunteer management, fundraising and strategic planning and then realizing a strategy of development of the NGO. The added value of the partnership is the acquisition of good practices and expertise from the Icelandic partner that can be replicated by the Romanian partner.
