BeeHave International The sixth mass global extinction (of the Holocene) is directly connected with human impact.

We fight against the sixth mass extinction by creating, developing and rebuilding natural and functional ecosystems, in order to create a world in which humans play a responsible role towards nature. This extinction is continuing into the 21st century, mainly due to the mass consumption of animal products, deforestation, overfishing, ocean acidification and the rate of exponential decline in biodi

versity. The exponential growth of the human population and per capita consumption are the main causes of this decline. From an ecological point of view, humanity has become a "global superpredator" that systematically and constantly destroys the adults of other species of predators, with irreparable consequences on the entire food chain. The mission of the Beehave Association is to encourage the creation, development and reconstruction of functional natural ecosystems, in order to maintain the necessary balance for a sustainable society. We will achieve these goals by creating food forests and rebuilding natural ecosystems with native species, using the principles of ecology and permaculture. We also educate, encourage and support people and communities to learn “Why” and “How” to create their own food forests, in order to have an efficient, reliable, local and resilient food source for climate change. We want to contribute to the creation of a world in which people play their role in a responsible way, in relation to nature and for the purpose of self-preservation. Permaculture is a combination of practices that are compatible with sustainable development, because the goal is to create a sustainable food system that guarantees the resilience of the communities that practice it.
