Scopul Asociatiei Profesor Gheorghe Balaci constă în înființarea, sprijinirea și dezvoltarea de servicii educaționale și programe culturale menite să sprijine elevii din diferite comunități, aflați în pericol de abandon școlar sau în imposibilitatea de a urma studiile în condiții optime, cât și cadrele didactice. Asociația își propune să contribuie la dezvoltarea personală și profesională a elevil
or și prin înființarea de programe dedicate transpunerii în practică a cunoștințelor dobândite de elevi în cadrul procesului de predare-învățare. Acțiunile asociației cuprind crearea de programe after-school în școlile situate în zone defavorizate, oferirea de burse școlare și de performanță atât elevilor cât și profesorilor, consiliere și sprijin oferite familiilor care decid retragerea copiilor din sistemul de învățământ (cauzele fiind de cele mai multe ori legate de situația materială precară), dotarea unităților de învățământ cu materiale școlare de bază, renovarea școlilor etc.

The main aim of Association Professor Gheorghe Balaci is the establishment, support and development of educational services and cultural programs which are aimed at supporting students from different communities, who find themselves in danger of dropping out school or who are unable to pursue their studies in optimal conditions, as well as teachers who want to give up teaching because of poor conditions of work or inappropriate teaching infrastructure. Professor Gheorghe Balaci Association aims at contributing to the personal and professional development of students and at the establishment of teaching programs dedicated at the implementation of the knowledge acquired in the teaching-learning process in day by day life. Our actions include the creation and implementation of after-school programs, mainly in schools which are located in poor areas. Also, we foresee the possibility of granting performance scholarships both for students and teachers, the possibility of providing counseling and support to families who decide to withdraw children from school (process related with the high degree of family poorness), the possibility of equipping schools with basic school materials or financing renovation projects.
