Meet Yuliia Kisielova, one of our ReMap-UNHCR research scholarship recipients.

Based in Cluj-Napoca, Yuliia brings a strong background in project coordination and communication management to her work. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Culturology from Lviv National University of Ivan Franko and is currently pursuing her Master’s in International Development at Babeș-Bolyai University. Crucially, her academic focus is backed by practical, real-world experience supporting Ukrainian refugee integration initiatives in Romania.

Yuliia’s work directly aligns with the mission of the scholarship program, to produce evidence-based research that improves refugee protection and local integration.

We are thrilled to support her work and look forward to sharing her research findings later this year!

Immigrants generate 17% more in taxes per capita than the US-born person, Cato’s David J. Bier reports.

The primary reason that immigrants pay more in taxes than the average person is that they are far more likely to be employed than the average person.
