Dog Assist Association is an NGO established in 2013. Our team is composed of human specialists and our partners, our therapy animals. At Dog Assist we promote respect, compassion and empathy for all living beings, integrating animals in a positive way in the life of the community. We fight with obsolete mentalities, putting ourselves in the service of humans’ and animals’ wellbeing. Our therapy animals participate in therapeutical programs along specialists such as psychologists and physical therapists, motivating our clients towards success. Our programs
We have the only therapy dog teams who have received the acceptance of the Ethical Committee and have worked in hospitals in our country and we have launched many pilot projects in Romania in the field of human – animal interaction. Thus, at Prietenii cartilor – Reading for dogs we encourage children to read in a safe, non-judgmental space. At Keep Calm with Dogs – Camera cu caini we help students and employees to relax and better communicate. At Atelierele Naturii, with the help of our furry therapists and through AGILE methods we implement humane education programs. Through our educational program, Copiii iubesc animalele (Kids love animals) we annually visit more than 1500 children in kindergartens and schools, teaching them about positive, safe interactions with animals, about nutrition, behaviour and emotions in both humans and animals and also responsible animal ownership. We have numerous workshops for parents and animal guardians to help them communicate better and overcame difficulties. Alongside our furry therapy partners, we are present in the community, offering therapy programs to those in need but also educational projects because we know that profound, long lasting changes are a result of education. We are dedicated to our fellow humans in need of support and to our furry friends who need us to be their voice, militating for their welfare. We believe that the human – animal bond is a unique one, with therapeutical valences which offers unconditional love and support. For donations:
