🤝 This Wednesday, part of our April Campaign, focused on solidarity, we visited Organizatia Suedeza pentru Ajutor Umanitar Individual.
🎨 With our team and a wonderful volunteer, we became painters.
🌸 With brushes in hand, paint, and some background music to create a friendly atmosphere, we started repainting the gate and the fence of this association, making it shine for the spring that will soon arrive in Bucharest.
💛 We spent a simple, relaxing moment together, but above all sharing a common value: solidarity.

🚗 Today we were at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work presenting “Hop-portunities”, a presentation that aims to inform students about European Opportunities.

🇪🇺 We got the to talk about Erasmus+ mobilities, volunteering, Erasmus Studies and much more. We also had the chance to share our experience as volunteers in Romania and to exchange some ideas with the students.

🎥 After the presentation, we had the opportunity to know students thoughts on these thematic - that soon you’ll also be able to see.

🚗 Today, we organized “Hop-portunities”, a presentation held at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work at the University of Bucharest, aimed at informing students about the opportunities available to young people through the 🇪🇺 European Union.

📚 We were welcomed by nearly 100 students and had the opportunity to explore topics such as Erasmus+ mobility programs, volunteering projects, Interrail, and much more.

🎤 During the event we also conducted a series of interviews with students, gathering their thoughts and perspectives on these opportunities.

👥 SocialXChange is a solidarity program by the local government of Bucharest’s Sector 6
with a unique core concept: Beneficiaries can perform various activities and jobs posted by
the organisation to earn points which can be used to purchase basic commodities and
services in SocialXChange stores.

🌟 Join our volunteers in their discovery of this interesting project through three interviews
on all levels of the organisation - from the director to a long-time beneficiary. Find out how it works, what impact it has and what motivates people to keep going and keep helping the
community.

📢 We have partnered with SocialXChange to provide a fundraising campaign with the goal

👨🏻‍⚕Yesterday, 5 of our COSI volunteers had an amazing opportunity to partake in a first aid training, thanks to our special guest and friend Laurentiu! Coming from the Nurse Medical Expert Organisation, he gave them a very thorough training of basic First Aid and also the importance of knowing CPR which could really help save one's life someday. The training wasn't only interesting but also hands on, thanks to the mannequin they could all practise on.

🆘Always remember these steps;
-Dial 112
-Check if the area is safe
-Open the victim's airway
-Check for breathing
-30 Chest Compression's (while humming Staying Alive)
-2 Rescue Breaths
-And Repeat the last 2 steps until person wakes up/emergency services arrive.

🫄...Did you know for a pregnant woman, you must position her on her left side on the ground while doing CPR?

🧰Laurenti also taught them about Internal Bleedings, Tourniquets, how to stay calm in stressful situations and much more!

➕At the end all the volunteers received a First Aid Training certificate and were very pleased with their afternoon. Thank you Nurse Medical Expert for your time and professionalism during the training and we hope we will be able to keep someone Staying Alive!
