Two weeks ago, on 9th and 10th of May 2026, we kept in Ninbukan Honbu Dojo an Uchi-Deshi (内弟子 - japanese term for a live-in student/apprentice or "inside student") tradition since 2004, Spring Gasshuku!
This time uchi-deshi had the chance to experience the beautiful Kuji no Ho 九字之法 Jojutsu 杖術 techniques from Chosui Kukamishin Ryu 澄水九鬼神流 (Kukishinden Chosui Ryu 九鬼神伝澄水流) a school that I inherited on February 2026 from my beloved teacher, 90-Year-Old Wise Man, Iwaki Shosui Sensei 岩城象水先生, the last living student of Ueno Yoshiaki Tenshin Sensei 上野義明天心先生, young brother of Ueno Takashi Chosui Sensei 上野貴澄水先生, one of the most important students of Takamatsu Tosh*tsugu Sensei 高松寿嗣先生! 🙏
At the end of this event, two of my close students, Marco Massarotto Sensei (Karyukai Italia – Nanpu Dojo / Italy Shibu-Cho) and Sergiu Coroamă Sensei (Karyukai Moldova - Shinshin Dojo / Moldova Shibu-Cho) successfully passed 6 Dan Iaikenjutsu 居合剣術 (Iaido-Iaijutsu / Kendo-Kenjutsu) exam, after a hard check-test!

5 Kyu (white belt) - Catinca Anastasiu, David Gîrbăceanu, Bogdan Dobrogeanu
